38 (A)Nebo, and (B)Baal-meon ((C)their names were changed), and (D)Sibmah. And they gave other names to the cities that they built. 39 And the sons of (E)Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were in it. 40 And Moses (F)gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he settled in it.

39 The descendants of Makir(C) son of Manasseh went to Gilead,(D) captured it and drove out the Amorites(E) who were there. 40 So Moses gave Gilead to the Makirites,(F) the descendants of Manasseh, and they settled there.
