The Lord said:

The Sacrifices on the First Day of the Month

The Lord said:

11 On the first day of each month, bring to the altar two bulls, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old that have nothing wrong with them. Then offer these as sacrifices to please me.[a] 12 Three kilograms of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with each bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilograms of flour mixed with oil must be offered with the ram, 13 and one kilogram of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. The smell of the smoke from these sacrifices will please me.

14-15 Offer two liters of wine as a drink offering with each bull, one and a half liters with the ram, and one liter with each of the young rams.

Finally, you must offer a goat[b] as a sacrifice for sin.

These sacrifices are to be offered on the first day of each month, in addition to the regular daily sacrifices.[c]

Monthly Offerings

Three Annual Festivals

The Lord said:

The Sacrifices during Passover and the Festival of Thin Bread

(Leviticus 23.4-8)

The Lord said:

16 (A) Celebrate Passover in honor of me on the fourteenth day of the first month[a] of each year. 17 (B) The following day will begin the Festival of Thin Bread, which will last for a week. During this time you must honor me by eating bread made without yeast.

18 On the first day of this festival, you must rest from your work and come together for worship. 19 Bring to the altar two bulls, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old that have nothing wrong with them. And then offer these as sacrifices to please me.[b] 20 Three kilograms of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with each bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilograms of flour mixed with oil must be offered with the ram, 21 and one kilogram of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. 22 Also offer a goat[c] as a sacrifice for the sins of the people. 23-24 All of these are to be offered each day of the festival in additional to the regular sacrifices,[d] and the smoke from them will please me. 25 Then on the last day of the festival, you must once again rest from work and come together for worship.

The Sacrifices during the Harvest Festival

(Leviticus 23.15-22)

The Lord said:

26 (C) On the first day of the Harvest Festival, you must rest from your work, come together for worship, and bring a sacrifice of new grain. 27 Offer two young bulls, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old as sacrifices to please me.[e] 28 Three kilograms of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with each bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilograms of flour mixed with oil must be offered with the ram, 29 and one kilogram of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. 30 Also offer a goat[f] as a sacrifice for sin. 31 The animals must have nothing wrong with them and are to be sacrificed along with the regular daily sacrifices.[g]

The Sacrifices at the Festival of Trumpets

(Leviticus 23.23-25)

The Lord said:

29 On the first day of the seventh month,[h] you must rest from your work and come together to celebrate at the sound of the trumpets. Bring to the altar one bull, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old that have nothing wrong with them. And then offer these as sacrifices to please me.[i] Three kilograms of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with the bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilograms of flour mixed with oil must be offered with the ram, and one kilogram of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. You must also offer a goat[j] as a sacrifice for sin. These sacrifices will be made in addition to the regular daily sacrifices[k] and the sacrifices for the first day of the month.[l] The smoke from these sacrifices will please me.

The Sacrifices on the Great Day of Forgiveness

(Leviticus 23.26-32)

The Lord said:

(D) The tenth day of the seventh month[m] is the Great Day of Forgiveness.[n] On that day you must rest from all work and come together for worship. Show sorrow for your sins by going without food, and bring to the altar one young bull, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old that have nothing wrong with them. Then offer these as sacrifices to please me.[o] Three kilograms of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with the bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilograms of flour mixed with oil must be offered with the ram, 10 and one kilogram of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. 11 A goat[p] must also be sacrificed for the sins of the people. You will offer these sacrifices in addition to the sacrifice to ask forgiveness and the regular daily sacrifices.[q]

The Sacrifices during the Festival of Shelters

(Leviticus 23.33-44)

The Lord said:

12 (E) Beginning on the fifteenth day of the seventh month[r] and continuing for seven days, everyone must celebrate the Festival of Shelters in honor of me.

13 On the first day, you must rest from your work and come together for worship. Bring to the altar 13 bulls, 2 full-grown rams, and 14 rams a year old that have nothing wrong with them. Then offer these as sacrifices to please me.[s] 14 Three kilograms of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with each bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilograms of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the rams, 15 and one kilogram of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. 16 You must also offer a goat[t] as a sacrifice for sin. These are to be offered in addition to the regular daily sacrifices.[u]

17-34 For the next six days of the festival, you will sacrifice one less bull than the day before, so that on the seventh day, seven bulls will be sacrificed. The other sacrifices and offerings must remain the same for each of these days.

35 On the eighth day, you must once again rest from your work and come together for worship. 36 Bring to the altar one bull, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old that have nothing wrong with them. Then offer these as sacrifices to please me. 37 You must also offer the proper grain sacrifices and drink offerings of wine with each animal. 38 And offer a goat[v] as the sacrifice to ask forgiveness for the people. These sacrifices are made in addition to the regular daily sacrifices.[w]

39 You must offer all these sacrifices to me at the appointed times of worship, together with any offerings that are voluntarily given or given because of a promise.

26 “‘On the day of firstfruits,(O) when you present to the Lord an offering of new grain during the Festival of Weeks,(P) hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.(Q) 27 Present a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.(R) 28 With each bull there is to be a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;(S) 29 and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.(T) 30 Include one male goat(U) to make atonement for you. 31 Offer these together with their drink offerings, in addition to the regular burnt offering(V) and its grain offering. Be sure the animals are without defect.

The Festival of Trumpets(W)

29 “‘On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.(X) It is a day for you to sound the trumpets. As an aroma pleasing to the Lord,(Y) offer a burnt offering(Z) of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old,(AA) all without defect.(AB) With the bull offer a grain offering(AC) of three-tenths of an ephah[a] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with the ram, two-tenths[b]; and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.[c](AD) Include one male goat(AE) as a sin offering[d] to make atonement for you. These are in addition to the monthly(AF) and daily burnt offerings(AG) with their grain offerings(AH) and drink offerings(AI) as specified. They are food offerings presented to the Lord, a pleasing aroma.(AJ)

The Day of Atonement(AK)

“‘On the tenth day of this seventh month hold a sacred assembly. You must deny yourselves[e](AL) and do no work.(AM) Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.(AN) With the bull offer a grain offering(AO) of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;(AP) 10 and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.(AQ) 11 Include one male goat(AR) as a sin offering, in addition to the sin offering for atonement and the regular burnt offering(AS) with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.(AT)

The Festival of Tabernacles(AU)

12 “‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh(AV) month,(AW) hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days. 13 Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord(AX) a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.(AY) 14 With each of the thirteen bulls offer a grain offering(AZ) of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with each of the two rams, two-tenths; 15 and with each of the fourteen lambs, one-tenth.(BA) 16 Include one male goat as a sin offering,(BB) in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.(BC)

17 “‘On the second day(BD) offer twelve young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.(BE) 18 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings(BF) and drink offerings(BG) according to the number specified.(BH) 19 Include one male goat as a sin offering,(BI) in addition to the regular burnt offering(BJ) with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.(BK)

20 “‘On the third day offer eleven bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.(BL) 21 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified.(BM) 22 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

23 “‘On the fourth day offer ten bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. 24 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. 25 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

26 “‘On the fifth day offer nine bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. 27 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. 28 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

29 “‘On the sixth day offer eight bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. 30 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. 31 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

32 “‘On the seventh day offer seven bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. 33 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. 34 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

35 “‘On the eighth day hold a closing special assembly(BN) and do no regular work. 36 Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord(BO) a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of one bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old,(BP) all without defect. 37 With the bull, the ram and the lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. 38 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

39 “‘In addition to what you vow(BQ) and your freewill offerings,(BR) offer these to the Lord at your appointed festivals:(BS) your burnt offerings,(BT) grain offerings, drink offerings and fellowship offerings.(BU)’”
