¹⁷ who ^(A)will go out ^[a]and come in before them, and who will lead them out and ^[b]bring them in, so that the congregation of Yahweh will not be ^(B)like sheep which have no shepherd.”

¹⁷ So he said,

⁵ They were ^(A)scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became ^(B)food for every beast of the field and were scattered.

⁵ Because you have had everlasting ^(B)enmity and have ^[a]delivered the sons of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of their disaster, at the time of the ^[b](C)punishment of the end, ⁶ therefore as I live,” declares Lord Yahweh, “I will ^[c]prepare you for ^(D)bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; you surely have not hated bloodshed, so bloodshed will pursue you. ⁷ I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation, and I will cut off from it the one who passes through and returns. ⁸ I will ^(E)fill its mountains with its slain; on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines those slain by the sword will ^[d]fall.

^36 (A)And seeing the crowds, He felt compassion for them, ^(B)because they were ^[a]distressed and ^[b]downcast like sheep ^[c]without a shepherd.

³⁴ And when Jesus went ^[a]ashore, He ^(A)saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because ^(B)they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.
