⁸ Then Yahweh said to Moses, “^[a]Make a ^(A)fiery serpent and set it on a standard; and it will be that everyone who is bitten and looks at it, will live.” ⁹ And Moses made a ^(B)bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it happened, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.

¹² O our God, ^(A)will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; and we do not know what we should do, but ^(B)our eyes are on You.”

¹⁰ “And I will ^(A)pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem ^[a]the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have ^(B)pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one ^(C)mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.
