⁴ They shall be joined with you and attend to the obligations of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the tent; but an ^[a]outsider may not come near you.

²⁸ For their office is ^[a]to assist the sons of Aaron with the service of the house of the Lord, in the courts and in the chambers and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of the house of God, ^29 (A)and with the showbread, and ^(B)the fine flour for a grain offering, and unleavened wafers, or ^(C)what is baked in the pan or ^(D)what is well-mixed, and ^(E)all measures of volume and size. ³⁰ They are to stand every morning to thank and to praise the Lord, and likewise at evening, ³¹ and to offer all burnt offerings to the Lord, ^(F)on the sabbaths, the new moons and ^(G)the fixed festivals in the number set by the ordinance concerning them, continually before the Lord. ³² Thus ^(H)they are to keep charge of the tent of meeting, and charge of the holy place, and ^(I)charge of the sons of Aaron their ^[b]relatives, for the service of the house of the Lord.

¹¹ Yet they shall be ^(A)ministers in My sanctuary, having ^(B)oversight at the gates of the house and ^(C)ministering in the house; they shall ^(D)slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall ^(E)stand before them to minister to them.
