17 Moses and Aaron took these men (A)who had been named, 18 and on the first day of the second month, they assembled the whole congregation together, who registered themselves by clans, by fathers' houses, according to the number of names from twenty years old and upward, head by head, 19 as the Lord commanded Moses. So he listed them in the wilderness of Sinai.

17 Moses and Aaron took these men whose names had been specified, 18 and they called the whole community together on the first day of the second month.(A) The people registered their ancestry(B) by their clans and families,(C) and the men twenty years old or more(D) were listed by name, one by one, 19 as the Lord commanded Moses. And so he counted(E) them in the Desert of Sinai:
