⁵³ And you shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it.

³¹ For you are ^(A)to cross over the Jordan to go in to take possession of the land that the Lord your God is giving you. And when you possess it and live in it,

^15 (A)Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or ^(B)do you begrudge my generosity?’^[a]

^32 (A)and you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. And you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, ^(B)until you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.”

You shall be made ^(B)to eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and ^(C)seven periods of time shall pass over you, till ^(D)you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.

¹⁷ The sentence is by the decree of ^(A)the watchers, the decision by the word of ^(B)the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High ^(C)rules the kingdom of men ^(D)and gives it to whom he will and ^(E)sets over it the lowliest of men.’
