¹⁵ “Count^(A) the Levites by their families and clans. Count every male a month old or more.”^(B)

⁶² All the male Levites a month old or more numbered 23,000.^(A) They were not counted^(B) along with the other Israelites because they received no inheritance^(C) among them.^(D)

¹⁵ and how from infancy^(A) you have known the Holy Scriptures,^(B) which are able to make you wise^(C) for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

¹⁵ The first offspring of every womb, both human and animal, that is offered to the Lord is yours.^(A) But you must redeem^(B) every firstborn^(C) son and every firstborn male of unclean animals.^{(D) 16} When they are a month old,^(E) you must redeem them at the redemption price set at five shekels^[a](F) of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel,^(G) which weighs twenty gerahs.^(H)

⁴³ The total number of firstborn males a month old or more,^(A) listed by name, was 22,273.^(B)
