On the east, toward the sunrise, the divisions of the camp of Judah are to encamp under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab.(A) His division numbers 74,600.

The tribe of Issachar(B) will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar.(C) His division numbers 54,400.

The tribe of Zebulun will be next. The leader of the people of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon.(D) His division numbers 57,400.

All the men assigned to the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, number 186,400. They will set out first.(E)

through Perez,(E) the Perezite clan;

24 through Jashub,(K) the Jashubite clan;

through Shimron, the Shimronite clan.

25 These were the clans of Issachar;(L) those numbered were 64,300.

26 The descendants of Zebulun(M) by their clans were:

through Sered, the Seredite clan;

through Elon, the Elonite clan;

through Jahleel, the Jahleelite clan.

27 These were the clans of Zebulun;(N) those numbered were 60,500.
