^14 (A)and you made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them commandments and statutes and a law by Moses your servant.

^8 (A)“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. ^9 (B)Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, ¹⁰ but the ^(C)seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the ^(D)sojourner who is within your gates. ¹¹ For ^(E)in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

¹² Moreover, I gave them ^(A)my Sabbaths, as a sign between me and them, ^(B)that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.

³ So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

²⁰ and ^(A)keep my Sabbaths holy that ^(B)they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’

²⁹ See! The Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Remain each of you in his place; let no one go out of his place on the seventh day.”

²³ he said to them, “This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Tomorrow is a day of ^(A)solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord; bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over lay aside to be kept till the morning.’”

¹⁷ For ^(A)the law was given through Moses; ^(B)grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

⁸ Remember the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, ^(A)I will scatter you among the peoples,

³¹ But you, stand here by me, and ^(A)I will tell you the whole commandment and the statutes and the rules that you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land that I am giving them to possess.’
