^8 (A)You found his heart faithful before you, ^(B)and made with him the covenant to give to his offspring ^(C)the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite. ^(D)And you have kept your promise, for you are righteous.

¹⁸ so that by two unchangeable things, in which ^(A)it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope ^(B)set before us.

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ^(A)“To your offspring I give^[a] this land, from ^(B)the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, ¹⁹ the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, ²⁰ the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, ²¹ the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites.”

⁶ And ^(A)he believed the Lord, and ^(B)he counted it to him as righteousness.

¹⁴ “And now ^(A)I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that ^(B)not one word has failed of all the good things^[a] that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.
