34 Jehová habló a Moisés y le dijo: 2 «Manda a los hijos de Israel y diles: Cuando hayáis entrado en la tierra de Canaán, ésta será la tierra que os ha de caer en herencia, y estos serán sus límites:
3 »Tendréis el lado del sur desde el desierto de Zin hasta la frontera de Edom, y su límite estará en el extremo del Mar Salado, hacia el oriente. 4 Este límite os irá rodeando desde el sur hasta la subida de Acrabim, y pasará hasta Zin; se extenderá del sur a Cades-barnea, continuará a Hasar-adar y pasará hasta Asmón. 5 Rodeará este límite desde Asmón hasta el torrente de Egipto, y terminará en el mar.
6 »El límite occidental será el Mar Grande; este límite será el límite occidental.
7 »El límite del norte será éste: desde el Mar Grande trazaréis una línea hasta el monte Hor. 8 Del monte Hor trazaréis una línea hasta la entrada de Hamat, y seguirá aquel límite hasta Zedad. 9 Seguirá luego hasta Zifrón y terminará en Hazar-enán. Éste será el límite del norte.
10 »Como límite al oriente trazaréis una línea desde Hazar-enán hasta Sefam. 11 Este límite bajará desde Sefam a Ribla, al oriente de Aín. Seguirá descendiendo el límite y llegará a la costa del mar de Cineret, al oriente. 12 Después descenderá este límite al Jordán y terminará en el Mar Salado:
»Ésta será vuestra tierra con los límites que la rodean.»
13 Moisés dijo a los hijos de Israel: «Ésta es la tierra que se os repartirá en heredades por sorteo, que mandó Jehová que diera a las nueve tribus y a la media tribu, 14 pues la tribu de los hijos de Rubén y la tribu de los hijos de Gad, con sus familias, y la media tribu de Manasés, han tomado ya su heredad. 15 Dos tribus y media tomaron su heredad a este lado del Jordán, al oriente de Jericó, hacia el nacimiento del sol.»
16 Habló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo: 17 «Éstos son los nombres de los hombres que os repartirán la tierra: El sacerdote Eleazar y Josué hijo de Nun. 18 Tomaréis también de cada tribu un príncipe para dar la posesión de la tierra. 19 Éstos son sus nombres:
»De la tribu de Judá, Caleb hijo de Jefone.
20 »De la tribu de los hijos de Simeón, Semuel hijo de Amiud.
21 »De la tribu de Benjamín, Elidad hijo de Quislón.
22 »De la tribu de los hijos de Dan, el príncipe Buqui hijo de Jogli.
23 »De los hijos de José: de la tribu de los hijos de Manasés, el príncipe Haniel hijo de Efod, 24 y de la tribu de los hijos de Efraín, el príncipe Kemuel hijo de Siftán.
25 »De la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón, el príncipe Elizafán hijo de Parnac.
26 »De la tribu de los hijos de Isacar, el príncipe Paltiel hijo de Azán.
27 »De la tribu de los hijos de Aser, el príncipe Ahiud hijo de Selomi.
28 »Y de la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí, el príncipe Pedael hijo de Amiud.»
29 A estos mandó Jehová que hicieran la repartición de las heredades a los hijos de Israel en la tierra de Canaán.

34 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)
3 Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:
4 And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:
5 And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.
6 And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.
7 And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:
8 From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:
9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.
10 And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:
11 And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:
12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.
13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:
15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.
16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.
19 And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
20 And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.
21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
22 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.
23 The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
24 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
25 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.
26 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
27 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
28 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.
29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

Canaan’s Boundaries. 1 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the people of Israel and say to them, ‘When you come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that will fall to you as an inheritance: the land of Canaan to its borders.
3 “ ‘Your southern section will run from the Desert of Zin along the border of Edom. Your southern border will be along the eastern coast of the Salt Sea. 4 Your border in the south will extend from the Ascent of Akrabbim on to Zin, and then passing on the south of Kadesh-barnea on to Hazar-addar and Azmon. 5 From Azmon the border will stretch to the Wadi of Egypt,[a] ending where it enters the sea.
6 “ ‘Your western border will be the great sea. This will be your western border.
7 “ ‘Your northern border will run from the great sea to Mount Hor. 8 From Mount Hor it will run to the Pass of Hamath. The border will then run to Zedad. 9 The border will continue on to Ziphron and it will end at Hazar-enan. This will be your northern border.
10 “ ‘Your eastern border will run from Hazar-enan to Shepham. 11 The border will run down from Shepham to Riblah on the eastern side of Ain. The border will run down until it reaches the eastern shore of the Sea of Chinnereth.[b] 12 The border will run down along the Jordan until it enters the Salt Sea. This will be your land, with your borders on every side.’ ”
13 Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, “This is the land that you will inherit by lot, as the Lord commanded. Give it to the nine and one-half tribes. 14 The tribe of the Reubenites, according to their ancestral tribe, has received their inheritance. The tribe of the Gadites, according to their ancestral tribe, as well as the half-tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance. 15 The two and one-half tribes have received their inheritance across the Jordan, opposite Jericho, to the east, toward the direction of sunrise.”
16 Appointed Leaders.[c] The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 17 “The names of the men who will divide the land for you are: Eleazar the priest and Joshua, the son of Nun. 18 You will choose one leader from each tribe to divide the land for inheritance. 19 These are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah: Caleb, the son of Jephunneh; 20 from the tribe of Simeon: Samuel, the son of Ammihud; 21 from the tribe of Benjamin: Elidad, the son of Chislon; 22 from the tribe of Dan, a leader: Bukki, the son of Jogli; 23 from the tribe of Joseph, from the tribe of Manasseh, a leader: Hanniel, the son of Ephod; 24 from the tribe of Ephraim, a leader: Kemuel, the son of Shiphtan; 25 from the tribe of Zebulun, a leader: Elizaphan, the son of Parnach; 26 from the tribe of Issachar, a leader: Paltiel, the son of Azzan; 27 from the tribe of Asher, a leader: Ahihud, the son of Shelomi; 28 from the tribe of Naphtali, a leader: Pedahel, the son of Ammihud.” 29 These are the ones whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance of the people of Israel in the land of Canaan.

Landets grænser
34 1-2 Gennem Moses gav Herren israelitterne følgende besked: „I står nu på tærskelen til Kana’ans land. Jeg giver jer hele dette land, og det skal være jeres hjemland. 3 Mod syd grænser landet op til Edom og Zins ørken. Grænsen løber fra sydspidsen af Det Døde Hav 4 sydpå til Akrabbimpasset og videre mod Zins ørken. Det sydligste punkt er Kadesh-Barnea. Derfra løber grænsen mod nordvest til Hatzar-Addar og videre til Atzmon. 5 Fra Atzmon følger grænsen Egyptens Bæk helt ud til Middelhavet.
6 Mod vest danner Middelhavet grænse.
7-9 Nordgrænsen løber i lige linie fra Middelhavet og østpå til Hors bjerg og videre til Lebo-Hamat, Zedad og Zifron og ender ved Hatzar-Enan.
10 Den østlige grænse går fra Hatzar-Enan sydpå til Shefam 11 og videre til Ribla øst for Ajin. Derfra slår den en bue, først sydpå og derefter vestpå til den rammer Galilæasøens sydligste punkt. 12 Derfra følger den Jordanfloden sydpå til Det Døde Hav.”
Fordelingen af landet
13 Moses sagde nu til israelitterne: „Hele dette område skal fordeles ved lodkastning mellem de ni stammer og den halve Manasse-stamme. 14-15 Rubens og Gads stammer samt den anden halvdel af Manasses stamme skal ikke være med i lodtrækningen, for de har allerede fået tildelt området øst for Jordanfloden.”
16 Derefter sagde Herren til Moses: 17 „Jeg har udvalgt præsten Eleazar og Josva til at overvåge fordelingen af landet. 18 De skal have hjælp af en leder fra hver stamme.”
19-29 Herren udpegede følgende mænd til opgaven: Kaleb, Jefunnes søn, fra Judas stamme; Shemuel, Ammihuds søn, fra Simeons stamme; Elidad, Kislons søn, fra Benjamins stamme; Bukki, Joglis søn, fra Dans stamme; Hanniel, Efods søn, fra Manasses stamme; Kemuel, Shiftans søn, fra Efraims stamme; Elitzafan, Parnaks søn, fra Zebulons stamme; Paltiel, Azzans søn, fra Issakars stamme; Ahihud, Shelomis søn, fra Ashers stamme; og Pedael, Ammihuds søn, fra Naftalis stamme.
