4 随后，耶稣被圣灵带到旷野，受魔鬼的试探。 2 耶稣禁食了四十昼夜，就饿了， 3 试探者前来对他说：“你若是 神的儿子，就吩咐这些石头变成食物吧！” 4 耶稣回答：“经上记着：
‘人活着，不是单靠食物，
更要靠 神口里所出的一切话。’”
5 随后，魔鬼带耶稣进了圣城，使他站在殿的最高处， 6 对他说：“你若是 神的儿子，就跳下去吧！因为经上记着：
‘ 神为了你，
会吩咐自己的使者用手托住你，
免得你的脚碰到石头。’”
7 耶稣对他说：“经上又记着：‘不可试探主你的 神。’” 8 最后，魔鬼带耶稣上了一座极高的山，把世界各国和各国的荣华都指给他看。 9 并且对他说：“你只要跪下来拜我，我就把这一切都给你。” 10 但耶稣说：“撒但，走开！经上记着：
‘当拜主你的 神，
单要事奉他。’”
11 于是魔鬼离开了耶稣，有天使前来服事他。

but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus said to him, “Again (M)it is written, (N)‘You shall not (O)put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 (P)Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, (Q)Satan! 13 “You are the salt of the earth, (A)but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
14 (B)“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 (C)Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so (D)that[a] they may see your good works and (E)give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
