Mapalad ang Mabuting Tao

112 Purihin si Yahweh!

Mapapalad ang tao na kay Yahweh ay gumagalang,
    at taos-pusong sumusunod sa kanyang kautusan.
Ang kanyang lipi'y magiging dakila,
    pati mga angkan ay may pagpapala.
Magiging sagana sa kanyang tahanan,
    pagpapala niya'y walang katapusan.

Ang taong matuwid, may bait at habag,
    kahit sa madilim taglay ay liwanag.
Ang mapagpautang nagiging mapalad,
    kung sa hanapbuhay siya'y laging tapat.
Hindi mabibigo ang taong matuwid,
    di malilimutan kahit isang saglit.

Masamang balita'y hindi nagigitla,
    matatag ang puso't kay Yahweh'y tiwala.
Wala siyang takot, hindi nangangamba,
    alam na babagsak ang kaaway niya.
Nagbibigay(A) sa mga nangangailangan,
    pagiging mat'wid niya'y walang hanggan,
    buong karangalang siya'y itataas.
10 Kung makita ito ng mga masama,
    lumalayas silang mabagsik ang mukha;
    pagkat ang pag-asa'y lubos nang nawala.

Blaze člověku, který Hospodina ctí
a jeho přikázání si velmi oblíbil!
Hrdinové země budou jeho potomci,
požehnáno bude pokolení poctivých.
V jeho domě je vzácné bohatství,
jeho spravedlnost navždy obstojí.

Vychází ve tmách světlo poctivým,
spravedlivý je, milostivý a soucitný!
Dobře je člověku, jenž soucitně půjčuje,
své záležitosti spravedlivě spravuje.

Takový nebude nikdy otřesen,
spravedlivý navždy v paměti zůstane.
Ze zlých zpráv nemá strach,
srdce má pevné, na Hospodina spoléhá.
Srdce má statečné, nemá strach,
nakonec uvidí svých protivníků pád.

Rozděluje štědře, chudým rozdává,
jeho spravedlnost navždy zůstává,
jeho roh se slavně pozvedá.
10 Při pohledu na to zuří ničema,
zuby skřípe a celý vrávorá –
tužba ničemů bude zmařena!

Praise the Lord.[b](A)

Blessed are those(B) who fear the Lord,(C)
    who find great delight(D) in his commands.

Their children(E) will be mighty in the land;
    the generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches(F) are in their houses,
    and their righteousness endures(G) forever.
Even in darkness light dawns(H) for the upright,
    for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.(I)
Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,(J)
    who conduct their affairs with justice.

Surely the righteous will never be shaken;(K)
    they will be remembered(L) forever.
They will have no fear of bad news;
    their hearts are steadfast,(M) trusting in the Lord.(N)
Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;(O)
    in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.(P)
They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor,(Q)
    their righteousness endures(R) forever;
    their horn[c] will be lifted(S) high in honor.

10 The wicked will see(T) and be vexed,
    they will gnash their teeth(U) and waste away;(V)
    the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.(W)
