Jezi ap pale sou lè moun bay
6 Fè atansyon, lè w ap fè sa ki byen, pou ou pa tonbe nan fè wè. Ou p ap jwenn okenn rekonpans nan men Papa ou ki nan syèl la si ou tonbe nan fè wè.
2 Lè w bay pòv yon bagay, ou pa bezwen ap klewonen twonpèt pou moun ka wè w. Pa aji tankou ipokrit. Se kon sa yo fè l nan sinagòg yo ak nan lari a, pou yo ka resevwa louwanj nan men moun. Anverite, m ap di nou: yo jwenn rekonpans yo deja. 3 Men lè w ap bay pòv yon bagay, pa kite men gòch ou konnen sa men dwat ou ap fè. 4 Konsa, sa w bay la ka fèt an sekrè. Papa ou ki nan syèl la, ki konnen tout sekrè, se li k ap ba w rekonpans ou merite a.
Jezi anseye kijan pou n lapriyè
(Lik 11:2-4)
5 Lè ou ap priye pa fè tankou ipokrit yo. Yo renmen kanpe nan sinagòg ak nan kafou pou priye byen fò, paske yo bezwen lòt moun wè y ap priye. Anverite m ap di nou: yo jwenn rekonpans yo deja. 6 Men ou menm lè ou ap priye antre nan chanm ou, fèmen pòt la. Apre sa, priye Papa w. Li menm ki konnen tout sekrè, l ap ba w rekonpans ou.
7 Lè ou ap lapriyè, pa plede ap repete menm mo yo plizyè fwa menm jan ak moun ki pa konnen Bondye yo. Yo panse se afòs yo pale anpil yo va jwenn repons. 8 Pa fè tankou moun ki pa konn Bondye yo, paske Papa w konnen sa w gen bezwen, anvan menm ou mande l. 9 Men kijan ou dwe priye:
Papa nou ki nan syèl la,
se pou tout moun fè lwanj pou non ou ki sen.
10 Vin tabli wayòm ou an.
Se pou volonte w fèt sou tè a menm jan ak nan syèl la.
11 Ban nou jodi a jou manje nou bezwen pou chak jou.
12 Padone peche nou yo
menm jan nou menm nou padone moun ki fè nou mal.
13 Pa kite nou tonbe anba tantasyon,
men delivre nou anba mechan an.[a][b]
14 Si nou padone lòt moun ki fè nou mal, Papa nou ki nan syèl la ap padone nou tou. 15 Men si nou pa padone lòt moun yo, Papa nou ki nan syèl la p ap padone nou nonplis.
Jezi ap pale sou lè moun ap jèn
16 Lè nou ap fè jèn, pa fè figi nou long tankou ipokrit. Yo fè figi yo tris pou tout moun ka wè y ap jene. Anverite m ap di nou: yo jwenn rekonpans yo deja. 17 Men nou menm, lè n ap jene, lave vizaj nou. Fè figi nou byen fre. 18 Konsa, moun pa menm konnen si n ap fè jèn, men Papa nou ki nan syèl la, ki konnen tout ti sekrè, li va ban nou rekonpans nou.

19 Pa chita ap rasanble richès isit sou latè. Mit ap pike yo. Lawouy[c] ap detwi yo. Vòlè ap kase kay ou pran yo. 20 Ranmase richès nan syèl la pito, kote ki pa gen ni mit, ni wouy, ni vòlè k ap kase kay moun. 21 Kote richès ou ye, se la kè w ap ye tou.
22 Se je yon moun ki sèvi kòm sèl sous limyè[d] pou rès kò a. Si ou gade lòt moun avèk yon je jenere, y ap wè ou se yon moun ki ranpli ak limyè. 23 Men, si ou gade moun ak move je, y ap wè ou se yon moun ki ranpli ak fènwa. Epi si limyè a plonje nan fènwa, pa gen anyen ki ka retire l.
24 Pèsonn pa ka janm sèvi de mèt alafwa. Se oubyen li rayi youn epi li renmen lòt la. L ap sèvi youn byen epi l ap meprize lòt la. Li pa posib pou nou sèvi Bondye ak richès[e] anmenmtan.
Mete Wayòm Bondye a anvan tout bagay

25 Se poutèt sa mwen di nou: Pa bay kò nou traka pou kisa n ap manje, osinon ki kote n ap jwenn rad pou n met sou nou. Èske lavi pa gen plis valè pase manje? Èske kò a pa gen plis valè pase rad? 26 Gade zwazo yo k ap vole, yo pa simen, yo pa rekòlte, yo pa gen depo manje. Epoutan, Papa nou ki nan syèl la ba yo manje pou yo manje. Èske nou pa gen plis valè pase zwazo yo? 27 Kilès nan nou ki ka ajoute menm yon sèl èdtan sou lavi li afòs li bay tèt li traka pou sa?
28 Poukisa n ap bay tèt nou traka kon sa pou rad? Gade jan flè ki nan raje yo grandi. Yo pa travay, yo pa koud rad. 29 M ap di nou sa, menm wa Salomon, nan tout laglwa li, li pa t abiye bèl tankou youn nan flè sa yo. 30 E si zèb nan jaden jodi a, zèb yo pral boule nan dife demen, Bondye pran tan pou l abiye yo si bèl, e nou menm atò? Ala piti lafwa nou piti!
31 Pa kòmanse ap chaje tèt nou sou kisa n pral manje, kisa n pral bwè, oswa kisa n pral met sou nou. 32 Se moun ki pa konnen Bondye ki toujou ap kouri dèyè bagay sa yo. Papa nou ki nan syèl la deja konnen nou bezwen tout bagay sa yo. 33 Konsa, wayòm Bondye a ak jan l mande pou nou viv dwe gen premye plas nan kè nou. Bondye ap ban nou tout lòt sa nou bezwen kòm degi. 34 Konsa, pa chaje tèt nou jodi a ak bagay ki gen pou rive demen. Demen gen pwòp chay pa l. Chak jou vin ak lo tèt chaje pa l.

Young's Literal Translation
6 `Take heed your kindness not to do before men, to be seen by them, and if not -- reward ye have not from your Father who [is] in the heavens;
2 whenever, therefore, thou mayest do kindness, thou mayest not sound a trumpet before thee as the hypocrites do, in the synagogues, and in the streets, that they may have glory from men; verily I say to you -- they have their reward!
3 `But thou, doing kindness, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doth,
4 that thy kindness may be in secret, and thy Father who is seeing in secret Himself shall reward thee manifestly.
5 `And when thou mayest pray, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites, because they love in the synagogues, and in the corners of the broad places -- standing -- to pray, that they may be seen of men; verily I say to you, that they have their reward.
6 `But thou, when thou mayest pray, go into thy chamber, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who [is] in secret, and thy Father who is seeing in secret, shall reward thee manifestly.
7 `And -- praying -- ye may not use vain repetitions like the nations, for they think that in their much speaking they shall be heard,
8 be ye not therefore like to them, for your Father doth know those things that ye have need of before your asking him;
9 thus therefore pray ye: `Our Father who [art] in the heavens! hallowed be Thy name.
10 `Thy reign come: Thy will come to pass, as in heaven also on the earth.
11 `Our appointed bread give us to-day.
12 `And forgive us our debts, as also we forgive our debtors.
13 `And mayest Thou not lead us to temptation, but deliver us from the evil, because Thine is the reign, and the power, and the glory -- to the ages. Amen.
14 `For, if ye may forgive men their trespasses He also will forgive you -- your Father who [is] in the heavens;
15 but if ye may not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 `And when ye may fast, be ye not as the hypocrites, of sour countenances, for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear to men fasting; verily I say to you, that they have their reward.
17 `But thou, fasting, anoint thy head, and wash thy face,
18 that thou mayest not appear to men fasting, but to thy Father who [is] in secret, and thy Father, who is seeing in secret, shall reward thee manifestly.
19 `Treasure not up to yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust disfigure, and where thieves break through and steal,
20 but treasure up to yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth disfigure, and where thieves do not break through nor steal,
21 for where your treasure is, there will be also your heart.
22 `The lamp of the body is the eye, if, therefore, thine eye may be perfect, all thy body shall be enlightened,
23 but if thine eye may be evil, all thy body shall be dark; if, therefore, the light that [is] in thee is darkness -- the darkness, how great!
24 `None is able to serve two lords, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to the one, and despise the other; ye are not able to serve God and Mammon.
25 `Because of this I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, and what ye may drink, nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the nourishment, and the body than the clothing?
26 look to the fowls of the heaven, for they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into storehouses, and your heavenly Father doth nourish them; are not ye much better than they?
27 `And who of you, being anxious, is able to add to his age one cubit?
28 and about clothing why are ye anxious? consider well the lilies of the field; how do they grow? they do not labour, nor do they spin;
29 and I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these.
30 `And if the herb of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast to the furnace, God doth so clothe -- not much more you, O ye of little faith?
31 therefore ye may not be anxious, saying, What may we eat? or, What may we drink? or, What may we put round?
32 for all these do the nations seek for, for your heavenly Father doth know that ye have need of all these;
33 but seek ye first the reign of God and His righteousness, and all these shall be added to you.
34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow, for the morrow shall be anxious for its own things; sufficient for the day [is] the evil of it.

Fare l'elemosina in segreto
6 Guardatevi dal praticare le vostre buone opere davanti agli uomini per essere da loro ammirati, altrimenti non avrete ricompensa presso il Padre vostro che è nei cieli. 2 Quando dunque fai l'elemosina, non suonare la tromba davanti a te, come fanno gli ipocriti nelle sinagoghe e nelle strade per essere lodati dagli uomini. In verità vi dico: hanno gia ricevuto la loro ricompensa. 3 Quando invece tu fai l'elemosina, non sappia la tua sinistra ciò che fa la tua destra, 4 perché la tua elemosina resti segreta; e il Padre tuo, che vede nel segreto, ti ricompenserà.
Pregare in segreto
5 Quando pregate, non siate simili agli ipocriti che amano pregare stando ritti nelle sinagoghe e negli angoli delle piazze, per essere visti dagli uomini. In verità vi dico: hanno gia ricevuto la loro ricompensa. 6 Tu invece, quando preghi, entra nella tua camera e, chiusa la porta, prega il Padre tuo nel segreto; e il Padre tuo, che vede nel segreto, ti ricompenserà.

7 Pregando poi, non sprecate parole come i pagani, i quali credono di venire ascoltati a forza di parole. 8 Non siate dunque come loro, perché il Padre vostro sa di quali cose avete bisogno ancor prima che gliele chiediate. 9 Voi dunque pregate così:
Padre nostro che sei nei cieli,
sia santificato il tuo nome;
10 venga il tuo regno;
sia fatta la tua volontà,
come in cielo così in terra.
11 Dacci oggi il nostro pane quotidiano,
12 e rimetti a noi i nostri debiti
come noi li rimettiamo ai nostri debitori,
13 e non ci indurre in tentazione,
ma liberaci dal male.
14 Se voi infatti perdonerete agli uomini le loro colpe, il Padre vostro celeste perdonerà anche a voi; 15 ma se voi non perdonerete agli uomini, neppure il Padre vostro perdonerà le vostre colpe.
Digiunare in segreto
16 E quando digiunate, non assumete aria malinconica come gli ipocriti, che si sfigurano la faccia per far vedere agli uomini che digiunano. In verità vi dico: hanno gia ricevuto la loro ricompensa.
17 Tu invece, quando digiuni, profumati la testa e lavati il volto, 18 perché la gente non veda che tu digiuni, ma solo tuo Padre che è nel segreto; e il Padre tuo, che vede nel segreto, ti ricompenserà.
Il vero tesoro
19 Non accumulatevi tesori sulla terra, dove tignola e ruggine consumano e dove ladri scassinano e rubano; 20 accumulatevi invece tesori nel cielo, dove né tignola né ruggine consumano, e dove ladri non scassinano e non rubano. 21 Perché là dov'è il tuo tesoro, sarà anche il tuo cuore.
L'occhio lucerna del corpo
22 La lucerna del corpo è l'occhio; se dunque il tuo occhio è chiaro, tutto il tuo corpo sarà nella luce; 23 ma se il tuo occhio è malato, tutto il tuo corpo sarà tenebroso. Se dunque la luce che è in te è tenebra, quanto grande sarà la tenebra!
Dio e il denaro
24 Nessuno può servire a due padroni: o odierà l'uno e amerà l'altro, o preferirà l'uno e disprezzerà l'altro: non potete servire a Dio e a mammona.
Abbandonarsi alla Provvidenza
25 Perciò vi dico: per la vostra vita non affannatevi di quello che mangerete o berrete, e neanche per il vostro corpo, di quello che indosserete; la vita forse non vale più del cibo e il corpo più del vestito? 26 Guardate gli uccelli del cielo: non seminano, né mietono, né ammassano nei granai; eppure il Padre vostro celeste li nutre. Non contate voi forse più di loro? 27 E chi di voi, per quanto si dia da fare, può aggiungere un'ora sola alla sua vita? 28 E perché vi affannate per il vestito? Osservate come crescono i gigli del campo: non lavorano e non filano. 29 Eppure io vi dico che neanche Salomone, con tutta la sua gloria, vestiva come uno di loro. 30 Ora se Dio veste così l'erba del campo, che oggi c'è e domani verrà gettata nel forno, non farà assai più per voi, gente di poca fede? 31 Non affannatevi dunque dicendo: Che cosa mangeremo? Che cosa berremo? Che cosa indosseremo? 32 Di tutte queste cose si preoccupano i pagani; il Padre vostro celeste infatti sa che ne avete bisogno. 33 Cercate prima il regno di Dio e la sua giustizia, e tutte queste cose vi saranno date in aggiunta. 34 Non affannatevi dunque per il domani, perché il domani avrà gia le sue inquietudini. A ciascun giorno basta la sua pena.
