³⁵ And Jesus went about all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and disease among the people.

³⁶ But when he saw the people, he had compassion on them, because they were worn and weak and scattered abroad, even as sheep having no shepherd. ³⁷ Then he said to his disciples, The harvest is great, but the labourers are few. ³⁸ Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers into his harvest.
