Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic(A)
9 So He got into a boat, crossed over, (B)and came to His own city. 2 (C)Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. (D)When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”
3 And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, “This Man blasphemes!”
4 But Jesus, (E)knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? 6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 7 And he arose and departed to his house.
8 Now when the multitudes saw it, they (F)marveled[a] and glorified God, who had given such power to men.
Matthew the Tax Collector(G)
9 (H)As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.
10 (I)Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with (J)tax collectors and (K)sinners?”
12 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: (L)‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, (M)but sinners, [b]to repentance.”
Jesus Is Questioned About Fasting(N)
14 Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, (O)“Why do we and the Pharisees fast [c]often, but Your disciples do not fast?”
15 And Jesus said to them, “Can (P)the [d]friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and (Q)then they will fast. 16 No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for [e]the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. 17 Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins [f]break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed(R)
18 (S)While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” 19 So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did His (T)disciples.
20 (U)And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and (V)touched the hem of His garment. 21 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” 22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; (W)your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
23 (X)When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw (Y)the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing, 24 He said to them, (Z)“Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. 25 But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and (AA)took her by the hand, and the girl arose. 26 And the (AB)report of this went out into all that land.
Two Blind Men Healed
27 When Jesus departed from there, (AC)two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, (AD)“Son of David, have mercy on us!”
28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, (AE)“See that no one knows it.” 31 (AF)But when they had departed, they [g]spread the news about Him in all that [h]country.
A Mute Man Speaks
32 (AG)As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. 33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”
34 But the Pharisees said, (AH)“He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.”
The Compassion of Jesus(AI)
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, (AJ)teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease [i]among the people. 36 (AK)But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were [j]weary and scattered, (AL)like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, (AM)“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 (AN)Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

14 那时，约翰的门徒前来问耶稣：“为甚么我们和法利赛人常常禁食，你的门徒却不禁食呢？” 15 耶稣回答：“新郎跟宾客在一起的时候，宾客怎能哀痛呢？但到了时候，新郎就要从他们中间被取去，那时他们就要禁食了。 16 没有人会拿一块新布补在旧衣服上，因为补上的会把衣服扯破，裂的地方就更大了。 17 也没有人会把新酒装在旧皮袋里，如果这样，皮袋就会胀破，酒就漏出来，皮袋也损坏了。人总是把新酒装在新皮袋里，这样，两样都可以保全。”
治好血漏病的女人(D)
18 耶稣对他们说话的时候，有一位会堂的主管走来跪在他面前，说：“我的女儿刚死了，但请你来按手在她身上，她必活过来。” 19 于是耶稣和门徒起来跟着他去了。 20 有一个女人，患了十二年的血漏病，她走到耶稣背后，摸他衣服的繸子， 21 因为她心里说：“只要摸到他的衣服，我就必痊愈。” 22 耶稣转过来看见她，就说：“女儿，放心！你的信心使你痊愈了。”从那时起，那女人就好了。
使女孩复活(E)
23 耶稣进了那主管的家，看见有吹笛的人和喧哗的群众， 24 就说：“出去！这女孩不是死了，只是睡了。”他们就嘲笑他。 25 耶稣赶走众人之后，进去拉着女孩的手，女孩就起来了。 26 这消息传遍了那一带。
治好瞎子
27 耶稣离开那里的时候，有两个瞎子跟着他，喊着说：“大卫的子孙，可怜我们吧！” 28 耶稣进了房子，他们来到他那里。耶稣问他们：“你们信我能作这些事吗？”他们回答：“主啊，我们信。” 29 于是耶稣摸他们的眼睛，说：“照你们的信心给你们成就吧。” 30 他们的眼睛就看见了。耶稣严严地嘱咐他们：“千万不可让人知道。” 31 他们却出去，把他所作的事传遍了那一带。

Gesú, veduta la loro fede, disse al paralitico: «Figliolo, coraggio, i tuoi peccati ti sono perdonati». 3 Ed ecco alcuni *scribi pensarono dentro di sé: «Costui bestemmia». 4 Ma Gesú, conosciuti i loro pensieri, disse: «Perché pensate cose malvagie nei vostri cuori?» 5 Infatti, che cos'è piú facile, dire: «I tuoi peccati ti sono perdonati», o dire: «Àlzati e cammina?» 6 Ma, affinché sappiate che il *Figlio dell'uomo ha sulla terra autorità di perdonare i peccati: «Àlzati», disse allora al paralitico, «prendi il tuo letto e vattene a casa». 7 Il paralitico si alzò e se ne andò a casa sua. 8 Visto ciò, la folla fu presa da timore e glorificò Dio, che aveva dato tale autorità agli uomini.

10 Mentre Gesú era a tavola in casa di Matteo, molti *pubblicani e «peccatori» vennero e si misero a tavola con Gesú e con i suoi discepoli. 11 I *farisei, veduto ciò, dicevano ai suoi discepoli: «Perché il vostro maestro mangia con i pubblicani e con i peccatori?» 12 Ma Gesú, avendoli uditi, disse: «Non sono i sani che hanno bisogno del medico, ma i malati. 13 Ora andate e imparate che cosa significhi: “Voglio misericordia e non sacrificio”[a]; poiché io non sono venuto a chiamare dei giusti, ma dei peccatori».

14 (C)Allora si avvicinarono a lui i discepoli di *Giovanni e gli dissero: «Perché noi e i farisei digiuniamo, e i tuoi discepoli non digiunano?» 15 Gesú disse loro: «Possono gli amici dello sposo far cordoglio finché lo sposo è con loro? Ma verranno i giorni che lo sposo sarà loro tolto, e allora digiuneranno. 16 Nessuno mette un pezzo di stoffa nuova sopra un vestito vecchio; perché quella toppa porta via qualcosa dal vestito vecchio e lo strappo si fa peggiore. 17 Neppure si mette vino nuovo in otri vecchi; altrimenti gli otri scoppiano, il vino si spande e gli otri si perdono; ma si mette il vino nuovo in otri nuovi e l'uno e gli altri si conservano».
Gesú guarisce una donna e risuscita la figlia di Iairo
18 (D)Mentre egli diceva loro queste cose, uno dei capi della sinagoga, avvicinatosi, s'inchinò davanti a lui e gli disse: «Mia figlia è morta or ora; ma vieni, posa la mano su di lei ed ella vivrà». 19 Gesú, alzatosi, lo seguiva con i suoi discepoli.
20 Ed ecco una donna, malata di un flusso di sangue da dodici anni, avvicinatasi da dietro, gli toccò il lembo della veste, 21 perché diceva fra sé: «Se riesco a toccare almeno la sua veste, sarò guarita». 22 Gesú si voltò, la vide, e disse: «Coraggio, figliola; la tua fede ti ha guarita». Da quell'ora la donna fu guarita.
23 Quando Gesú giunse alla casa del capo della sinagoga e vide i sonatori di flauto e la folla che faceva grande strepito, disse loro: 24 «Allontanatevi, perché la bambina non è morta, ma dorme». Ed essi ridevano di lui. 25 Ma quando la folla fu messa fuori, egli entrò, prese la bambina per la mano ed ella si alzò. 26 E se ne divulgò la fama per tutto quel paese.
Guarigione di due ciechi e di un indemoniato muto
27 (E)Come Gesú partiva di là, due ciechi lo seguirono, dicendo ad alta voce: «Abbi pietà di noi, Figlio di *Davide!» 28 Quando egli fu entrato nella casa, quei ciechi si avvicinarono a lui. Gesú disse loro: «Credete voi che io possa far questo?» Essi gli risposero: «Sí, Signore». 29 Allora toccò loro gli occhi dicendo: «Vi sia fatto secondo la vostra fede». 30 E gli occhi loro furono aperti. E Gesú fece loro un severo divieto, dicendo: «Guardate che nessuno lo sappia». 31 Ma quelli, usciti fuori, sparsero la fama di lui per tutto quel paese.
32 (F)Mentre quei ciechi uscivano, gli fu presentato un uomo muto e indemoniato. 33 Scacciato che fu il demonio, il muto parlò. E la folla si meravigliava dicendo: «Non si è mai vista una cosa simile in *Israele». 34 Ma i farisei dicevano: «Egli scaccia i demòni con l'aiuto del principe dei demòni».
Compassione di Gesú per la folla
35 (G)Gesú percorreva tutte le città e i villaggi, insegnando nelle loro *sinagoghe, predicando il vangelo del regno e guarendo ogni malattia e ogni infermità.
36 Vedendo le folle, ne ebbe compassione, perché erano stanche e sfinite come pecore che non hanno pastore. 37 Allora disse ai suoi discepoli: «La mèsse è grande, ma pochi sono gli operai. 38 Pregate dunque il Signore della mèsse che mandi degli operai nella sua mèsse».
