⁸ “Blessed are ^(A)the pure in heart, for ^(B)they shall see God.

¹⁷ Now the Lord^[a] is the Spirit, and where ^(A)the Spirit of the Lord is, there is ^(B)freedom. ¹⁸ And we all, with unveiled face, ^(C)beholding ^(D)the glory of the Lord,^{[b] (E)}are being transformed into the same image ^(F)from one degree of glory to another.^[c] For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

²² But ^(A)the fruit of the Spirit is ^(B)love, joy, peace, patience, ^(C)kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ^23 (D)gentleness, ^(E)self-control; ^(F)against such things there is no law. ²⁴ And those who belong to Christ Jesus ^(G)have crucified the flesh with its ^(H)passions and desires.

²⁵ If we live by the Spirit, ^(I)let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

²⁵ Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you ^(A)speak the truth with his neighbor, for ^(B)we are members one of another. ^26 (C)Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, ²⁷ and ^(D)give no opportunity to the devil. ²⁸ Let the thief no longer steal, but rather ^(E)let him labor, ^(F)doing honest work with his own hands, so ^(G)that he may have something to share with anyone in need. ^29 (H)Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give ^(I)grace to those who hear. ³⁰ And ^(J)do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, ^(K)by whom you were sealed for the day of ^(L)redemption.

^9 (A)If we confess our sins, he is ^(B)faithful and just to forgive us our sins and ^(C)to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
