Peter’s Denial Predicted
31 Then Jesus said to them, “Tonight all of you will fall away because of me, for it is written:
32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”(B)

34 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to him, “tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”(C)
35 “Even if I have to die with you,” Peter told him, “I will never deny you,” and all the disciples said the same thing.

International Standard Version
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial(A)
31 Then Jesus told them, “All of you will turn against me this very night, because it is written,
‘I will strike the shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’[a]
32 However, after I have been raised, I will go to Galilee ahead of you.”
33 But Peter told him, “Even if everyone else turns against you, I certainly won’t!”
34 Jesus told him, “I tell you[b] with certainty, before a rooster crows this very night, you will deny me three times.”
35 Peter told him, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never deny you!” And all the disciples said the same thing.
