⁶⁴ “You said it,” Jesus replied. “But I say to you that from now on you’ll see the Human One^[a] sitting on the right side of the Almighty^[b] and coming on the heavenly clouds.”^[c]

⁶⁹ But from now on, the Human One^[a] will be seated on the right side of the power of God.”^[b]

³³ He was exalted to God’s right side and received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit. He poured out this Spirit, and you are seeing and hearing the results of his having done so.

³¹ God has exalted Jesus to his right side as leader and savior so that he could enable Israel to change its heart and life and to find forgiveness for sins.

⁵⁵ But Stephen, enabled by the Holy Spirit, stared into heaven and saw God’s majesty and Jesus standing at God’s right side.

³⁴ Who is going to convict them? It is Christ Jesus who died, even more, who was raised, and who also is at God’s right side. It is Christ Jesus who also pleads our case for us.

²³ Each event will happen in the right order: Christ, the first crop of the harvest,^[a] then those who belong to Christ at his coming, ²⁴ and then the end, when Christ hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he brings every form of rule, every authority and power to an end. ²⁵ It is necessary for him to rule until he puts all enemies under his feet.^{[b] 26} Death is the last enemy to be brought to an end,

3 Therefore, if you were raised with Christ, look for the things that are above where Christ is sitting at God’s right side.

The Son is God’s ultimate messenger

1 In the past, God spoke through the prophets to our ancestors in many times and many ways. ² In these final days, though, he spoke to us through a Son. God made his Son the heir of everything and created the world through him. ³ The Son is the light of God’s glory and the imprint of God’s being. He maintains everything with his powerful message. After he carried out the cleansing of people from their sins, he sat down at the right side of the highest majesty.
