Matthew 1:23-25

23 See, the virgin will become pregnant
and give birth to a son,
and they will name him Immanuel,[a]
which is translated “God is with us.”(A)
24 When Joseph woke up, he did as the Lord’s angel had commanded him. He married her(B) 25 but did not have sexual relations with her until she gave birth to a son.[b] And he named him Jesus.(C)

23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[a](A) (which means “God with us”).
24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel(B) of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.(C)
