Miracles of Healing

^18 (A)While He was saying these things to them, behold, ^[a]a synagogue ^[b]official came and ^[c](B)was bowing down before Him, and said, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.”

³⁵ While He was still speaking, they *came from the house of the ^(A)synagogue official, saying, “Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher anymore?” ³⁶ But Jesus, overhearing what had been spoken, *said to the ^(B)synagogue official, “^(C)Do not be afraid, only ^[a]believe.”

³⁸ And they *came to the house of the ^(A)synagogue official; and He *saw a commotion, and people loudly crying and wailing.

⁴⁹ While He was still speaking, someone *came from the house of ^(A)the synagogue official, saying, “Your daughter has died; do not trouble the Teacher anymore.”

¹⁴ But ^(A)the synagogue official, indignant because Jesus ^(B)healed on the Sabbath, answered and was saying to the crowd, “^(C)There are six days in which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

¹⁵ And after ^(A)the reading of the Law and ^(B)the Prophets ^(C)the synagogue officials sent to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say it.”

^8 (A)And Crispus, ^(B)the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord ^(C)with all his household, and many of the ^(D)Corinthians when they heard were believing and being baptized.

¹⁷ And they all took hold of ^(A)Sosthenes, ^(B)the leader of the synagogue, and began beating him in front of ^(C)the judgment seat. But Gallio was not concerned about any of these things.
