Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

^19 (A)“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where ^(B)moth and rust^[a] destroy and where thieves ^(C)break in and steal,

²¹ Jesus said to him, “If you would be ^(A)perfect, go, ^(B)sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have ^(C)treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

²¹ So is the one ^(A)who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”

^33 (A)Sell your possessions, and ^(B)give to the needy. ^(C)Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with ^(D)a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. ^34 (E)For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

²² When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. ^(A)Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have ^(B)treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
