^10 (A)“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for ^(B)theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

^11 (C)“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely ^(D)on my account. ^12 (E)Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for ^(F)so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

^27 (A)For the Son of Man is going to come with ^(B)his angels in the glory of his Father, and ^(C)then he will repay each person according to what he has done.

²⁰ And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here, I have made five talents more.’ ²¹ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and ^(A)faithful servant.^{[a] (B)}You have been faithful over a little; ^(C)I will set you over much. Enter into ^(D)the joy of your master.’ ²² And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me two talents; here, I have made two talents more.’ ²³ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

¹² “Behold, ^(A)I am coming soon, ^(B)bringing my recompense with me, ^(C)to repay each one for what he has done.

¹¹ For no one can lay a ^(A)foundation other ^(B)than that which is laid, ^(C)which is Jesus Christ. ¹² Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— ^13 (D)each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed ^(E)by fire, and ^(F)the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. ¹⁴ If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, ^(G)he will receive a reward.
