Matthew 4:3-5
International Children’s Bible
3 The devil came to Jesus to tempt him. The devil said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these rocks to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written in the Scriptures, ‘A person does not live only by eating bread. But a person lives by everything the Lord says.’”[a]
5 Then the devil led Jesus to the holy city of Jerusalem. He put Jesus on a very high place of the Temple.

New International Version
3 The tempter(A) came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God,(B) tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[a]”(C)
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city(D) and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
