3 And having come to Him, the one tempting said to Him, “If You are[a] God’s Son, say that these stones should become loaves-of-bread”. 4 But the One, having responded, said, “It has been written [in Deut 8:3]: ‘Mankind[b] shall live not on bread alone, but on every word proceeding-out through the mouth of God’” 5 Then the devil takes Him into the holy city. And he stood Him on the pinnacle of the temple.

New International Version
3 The tempter(A) came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God,(B) tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[a]”(C)
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city(D) and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
