Jesus Is Buried

^57 (A)Now when it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.

²⁵ And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was ^(A)righteous and devout, ^(B)waiting for the ^[a](C)comfort of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

³⁸ And at that very ^[a]moment she came up and began giving thanks to God, and continued to speak of Him to all those who were ^(A)waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.

⁵¹ (he had not consented to their counsel and action), a man from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who was ^(A)waiting for the kingdom of God;

^38 (A)Now after these things Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but ^(B)secretly because of his ^(C)fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate granted permission. So he came and took away His body.
