³⁹ And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let ^(A)this cup pass from Me; ^(B)yet not as I will, but as You will.”

³⁰ “^(A)I can do nothing ^[a]on My own. As I hear, I judge; and ^(B)My judgment is ^[b]righteous, because I do not seek My own will but ^(C)the will of Him who sent Me.

³⁸ For ^(A)I have come down from heaven, ^(B)not to do My own will, but ^(C)the will of Him who ^(D)sent Me.

²⁸ So Jesus said, “When you ^(A)lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that ^[a](B)I am, and ^(C)I do nothing ^[b]on My own, but I say these things as the Father instructed Me.

^49 (A)For I did not speak ^[a]on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me ^(B)has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.
