47 (D)While he was still speaking, (E)Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the people. 48 Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss is the man; seize him.” 49 And he came up to Jesus at once and said, “Greetings, (F)Rabbi!” And he kissed him. 50 Jesus said to him, (G)“Friend, (H)do what you came to do.”[b] Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and seized him.

Jesus Arrested(B)

47 While he was still speaking, Judas,(C) one of the Twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the elders of the people. 48 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.” 49 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Greetings, Rabbi!”(D) and kissed him.

50 Jesus replied, “Do what you came for, friend.”[a](E)

Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him.
