³and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you ^[a]are converted and ^(A)become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. ⁴Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. ⁵And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; ⁶but ^(B)whoever ^(C)causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it ^[b]would be better for him to have a ^[c]heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

³and said, `Verily I say to you, if ye may not be turned and become as the children, ye may not enter into the reign of the heavens;

⁴whoever then may humble himself as this child, he is the greater in the reign of the heavens.

⁵`And he who may receive one such child in my name, doth receive me,

⁶and whoever may cause to stumble one of those little ones who are believing in me, it is better for him that a weighty millstone may be hanged upon his neck, and he may be sunk in the depth of the sea.

Causing to Stumble

⁶“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.^(E)
