²⁷ For the ^(A)Son of Man ^(B)is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and ^(C)will then ^[a]repay every man according to his ^[b]deeds.

⁷ so that you are not lacking in any gift, ^(A)awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁴ When Christ, ^(A)who is our life, is revealed, ^(B)then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

⁷ and to give relief to you who are afflicted ^[a]and to us as well ^[b](A)when the Lord Jesus will be revealed ^(B)from heaven ^(C)with ^[c]His mighty angels ^(D)in flaming fire,

⁷ so that the ^[a](A)proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which ^[b]is perishable, ^(B)even though tested by fire, ^(C)may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at ^(D)the revelation of Jesus Christ;

¹³ but to the degree that you ^(A)share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the ^(B)revelation of His glory ^(C)you may rejoice with exultation.

²⁸ Now, ^(A)little children, abide in Him, so that when He ^(B)appears, we may have ^(C)confidence and ^(D)not ^[a]shrink away from Him in shame ^[b]at His ^(E)coming.
