Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection^(A)

²¹ From that time Jesus began ^(B)to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

Jesus Again Predicts His Death and Resurrection^(A)

^22 (B)Now while they were ^[a]staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, ²³ and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.” And they were exceedingly ^(C)sorrowful.

⁶ He is not here, but is risen! ^(A)Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, ⁷ saying, ‘The Son of Man must be ^(B)delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ”

⁶³ saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ^(A)‘After three days I will rise.’

^12 (A)But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they ^(B)did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise ^(C)the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.”

^28 (A)just as the ^(B)Son of Man did not come to be served, ^(C)but to serve, and ^(D)to give His life a ransom ^(E)for many.”

Jesus a Third Time Predicts His Death and Resurrection^(A)

^17 (B)Now Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples aside on the road and said to them, ^18 (C)“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, ^19 (D)and deliver Him to the Gentiles to ^(E)mock and to ^(F)scourge and to ^(G)crucify. And the third day He will ^(H)rise again.”

³ For ^(A)I delivered to you first of all that ^(B)which I also received: that Christ died for our sins ^(C)according to the Scriptures, ⁴ and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day ^(D)according to the Scriptures,

^25 (A)But first He must suffer many things and be ^(B)rejected by this generation.
