¹⁹ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man and a ^[a]drunkard, ^(A)a friend of tax collectors and ^[b]sinners!’ Yet wisdom is vindicated ^[c]by her deeds.”

¹⁶ And when ^(A)the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they were saying to His disciples, “^(B)He is eating and drinking with tax collectors and ^[a]sinners!”

^30 (A)And the Pharisees and their scribes began grumbling at His disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and ^[a]sinners?”

² And both the Pharisees and the scribes were grumbling, saying, “This man receives sinners and ^(A)eats with them.”
