^9 (A)Do not acquire gold, or silver, or copper for your money belts, ¹⁰ or a ^[a]bag for your journey, or even two ^[b]coats, or sandals, or a staff; for ^(B)the worker is worthy of his ^[c]support. ¹¹ And whatever city or village you enter, inquire who is worthy in it, and stay ^[d]at his house until you leave that city. ¹² As you enter the ^[e]house, ^(C)give it your ^[f]greeting. ¹³ If the house is worthy, ^[g]give it your blessing of peace. But if it is not worthy, ^[h]take back your blessing of peace. ¹⁴ Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, ^(D)shake the dust off your feet.

^8 (A)and He instructed them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a mere staff—no bread, no ^[a]bag, no money in their belt— ⁹ but ^[b]to wear sandals; and He added, “Do not put on two ^[c]tunics.” ¹⁰ And He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you ^[d]leave town. ¹¹ Any place that does not receive you or listen to you, as you go out from there, ^(B)shake the dust ^[e]off the soles of your feet for a testimony against them.”

³ And He said to them, “^(A)Take nothing for your journey, ^(B)neither a staff, nor a ^[a]bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not even have ^[b]two tunics apiece. ⁴ Whatever house you enter, stay there ^[c]until you leave that city. ⁵ And as for those who do not receive you, as you go out from that city, ^(C)shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

^4 (A)Carry no money belt, no ^[a]bag, no shoes; and greet no one on the way. ⁵ Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ ⁶ If a ^[b]man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. ⁷ Stay in ^[c]that house, eating and drinking ^[d]what they give you; for ^(B)the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house. ⁸ Whatever city you enter and they receive you, ^(C)eat what is set before you; ⁹ and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘^(D)The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ ¹⁰ But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, ¹¹ ‘^(E)Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet ^[e]be sure of this, that ^(F)the kingdom of God has come near.’ ¹² I say to you, ^(G)it will be more tolerable in that day for ^(H)Sodom than for that city.
