La Nuova Diodati
21 Quando furono vicini a Gerusalemme, giunti a Betfage, presso il monte degli Ulivi, Gesú mandò due discepoli,
2 dicendo loro: «Andate nel villaggio che si trova davanti a voi; e subito troverete un'asina legata e un puledro con essa; scioglieteli e conduceteli da me.
3 E se qualcuno vi dice qualcosa, ditegli che il Signore ne ha bisogno, ma li rimanderà presto».
4 Or questo accadde, affinché si adempisse ciò che fu detto dal profeta, che dice:
5 «Dite alla figlia di Sion: Ecco il tuo re viene a te mansueto, cavalcando un asino, anzi un puledro, figlio di una bestia da soma».
6 I discepoli andarono e fecero come Gesú aveva loro comandato.
7 Condussero l'asina e il puledro, posero su questo i loro mantelli, ed egli vi montò sopra.
8 E una grandissima folla stendeva i suoi mantelli sulla strada, mentre altri tagliavano rami dagli alberi e li spargevano sulla via.
9 Le folle che precedevano come quelle che seguivano gridavano, dicendo: «Osanna al Figlio di Davide! Benedetto colui che viene nel nome del Signore! Osanna nei luoghi altissimi!».
10 E, quando egli entrò in Gerusalemme, tutta la città fu messa in agitazione, e diceva: «Chi è costui?».
11 E le folle dicevano: «Costui è Gesú il profeta che viene da Nazaret di Galilea».
12 Poi Gesú entrò nel tempio di Dio, ne scacciò tutti coloro che nel tempio vendevano e compravano, e rovesciò le tavole dei cambiavalute e le sedie dei venditori di colombi.
13 E disse loro: «Sta scritto: "La mia casa sarà chiamata casa di orazione ma voi ne avete fatto un covo di ladroni».
14 Allora vennero da lui nel tempio ciechi e zoppi, ed egli li guarí.
15 Ma i capi dei sacerdoti e gli scribi, viste le meraviglie che egli aveva fatto e i fanciulli che gridavano nel tempio dicendo: «Osanna al Figlio di Davide!», ne furono indignati,
16 e gli dissero: «Senti tu ciò che questi dicono?». Gesú disse loro «Sí! Non avete mai letto: "Dalla bocca dei bambini e dei lattanti, tu ti sei procurato lode».
17 E lasciatili, uscí dalla città verso Betania, e là passò la notte.
18 La mattina, ritornando in città, ebbe fame.
19 E vedendo un fico lungo la strada, gli si avvicinò, ma non vi trovò nulla se non delle foglie; e gli disse: «Non nasca mai piú frutto da te in eterno!». E subito il fico si seccò.
20 E, vedendo ciò, i discepoli si meravigliarono e dissero: «Come mai il fico si è seccato all'istante?».
21 E Gesú, rispondendo, disse loro: «In verità vi dico che se avete fede e non dubitate, non solo farete ciò che io ho fatto al fico, ma se anche diceste a questo monte: "Levati di lí e gettati nel mare" ciò avverrà.
22 E tutto ciò che chiederete in preghiera, avendo fede, lo otterrete».
23 Quando entrò nel tempio, i capi dei sacerdoti e gli anziani del popolo si accostarono a lui, mentre insegnava, e dissero: «Con quale autorità fai tu queste cose? E chi ti ha dato questa autorità?».
24 E Gesú, rispondendo, disse loro: «Anch'io vi farò una domanda, e se voi mi risponderete, io pure vi dirò con quale autorità faccio queste cose.
25 Il battesimo di Giovanni da dove veniva? Dal cielo o dagli uomini?». Ed essi ragionavano tra loro dicendo: «Se diciamo dal cielo, ci dirà: "Perché dunque non gli credeste?"
26 Se invece diciamo dagli uomini, temiamo la folla, perché tutti ritengono Giovanni un profeta».
27 E risposero a Gesú dicendo: «Non lo sappiamo». Allora egli disse loro: «Neanch'io vi dirò con quale autorità faccio queste cose».
28 «Che ve ne pare? Un uomo aveva due figli e rivolgendosi al primo disse "Figlio, va' oggi a lavorare nella mia vigna".
29 ma egli rispose e disse: "Non voglio"; piú tardi però, pentitosi, vi andò.
30 Poi, rivoltosi al secondo gli disse la stessa cosa. Ed egli rispose e disse: "Sí, lo farò signore ma non vi andò.
31 Chi dei due ha fatto la volontà del padre?». Essi gli dissero: «Il primo». Gesú disse loro: «In verità vi dico che i pubblicani e le meretrici vi precedono nel regno dei cieli.
32 Poiché Giovanni è venuto a voi per la via della giustizia, e voi non gli avete creduto, mentre i pubblicani e le meretrici gli hanno creduto; e voi, nemmeno dopo aver visto queste cose, vi siete ravveduti per credergli».
33 «Ascoltate un'altra parabola: Vi era un padrone di casa, il quale piantò una vigna, Ia cinse di una siepe, vi scavò un luogo dove pigiare l'uva, vi costruí una torre e, dopo averla affidata a certi vignaioli, partí.
34 Ora giunto il tempo della raccolta egli mandò i suoi servi dai vignaioli, per riceverne i frutti,
35 ma i vignaioli, presi i suoi servi, uno lo bastonarono, un altro lo uccisero e un altro lo lapidarono.
36 Di nuovo egli mandò altri servi, in maggior numero dei primi; e quei vignaioli li trattarono allo stesso modo.
37 In ultimo egli mandò loro il proprio figlio dicendo: "Avranno almeno rispetto di mio figlio!".
38 Ma i vignaioli, visto il figlio dissero fra loro: "Costui è l'erede; venite uccidiamolo e impadroniamoci della sua eredità"
39 E, presolo lo cacciarono fuori della vigna e lo uccisero.
40 Ora, quando verrà il padrone della vigna, che cosa farà a quei vignaioli?».
41 Essi gli dissero: «Egli farà perire miseramente quegli scellerati, e affiderà la vigna ad altri vignaioli, i quali gli renderanno i frutti a suo tempo».
42 Gesú disse loro: «Non avete mai letto nelle Scritture: "La pietra che gli edificatori hanno rigettata è divenuta la testata d'angolo. Questa è opera del Signore, ed è meravigliosa agli occhi nostri"?.
43 Perciò io vi dico che il regno di Dio vi sarà tolto e sarà dato a una gente che lo farà fruttificare.
44 E chi cadrà su questa pietra sarà sfracellato; e colui sul quale essa cadrà sarà stritolato».
45 I capi dei sacerdoti e i farisei, udite le sue parabole, si avvidero che parlava di loro.
46 E cercavano di prenderlo, ma temettero le folle, perché lo ritenevano un profeta.

Matagumpay na Pumasok si Jesus sa Jerusalem(A)
21 Nang malapit na sila sa Jerusalem at nakarating sa Betfage, sa bundok ng mga Olibo, si Jesus ay nagsugo ng dalawang alagad. 2 Sinasabi niya sa kanila, “Pumunta kayo sa susunod na nayon, at kaagad kayong makakakita ng isang inahing asno na nakatali at may kasamang isang bisiro. Kalagan ninyo at dalhin dito sa akin. 3 Kung may magsasabi sa inyo ng anuman, sabihin ninyo, ‘Kailangan sila ng Panginoon,’ at kaagad niyang ipapadala ang mga iyon.” 4 Nangyari ito upang matupad ang pinahayag sa pamamagitan ng propeta, na nagsasabi,
5 “Sabihin (B) ninyo sa anak na babae ng Zion,
Pagmasdan mo, ang iyong Hari ay dumarating sa iyo,
mapagpakumbaba, at nakasakay sa isang asno,
at sa bisiro ng isang inahing asno.”

Hosanna sa kataas-taasan!” 10 Pagpasok niya sa Jerusalem ay nagkagulo sa buong lungsod. “Sino ba ang taong ito?” tanong ng mga tao. 11 Sinabi ng marami, “Siya ang propetang si Jesus, na taga-Nazareth ng Galilea.”
Nilinis ni Jesus ang Templo(D)
12 Pumasok si Jesus sa templo,[a] at itinaboy niya ang lahat ng nagtitinda at namimili sa templo. Pinagbabaligtad niya ang mga mesa ng mga nagpapalit ng salapi at ang mga upuan ng mga nagtitinda ng mga kalapati. 13 Sinabi (E) niya sa kanila, “Nasusulat,
‘Ang aking bahay ay tatawaging bahay-dalanginan,’
ngunit ginagawa ninyo itong pugad ng mga magnanakaw.”
14 Lumapit sa kanya sa templo ang mga bulag at ang mga pilay, at sila'y kanyang pinagaling. 15 Subalit nagalit ang mga punong pari at ang mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan nang makita nila ang mga kamangha-manghang bagay na kanyang ginawa, at ang mga batang sumisigaw sa templo, nagsasabing, “Hosanna sa Anak ni David.” 16 At (F) sinabi nila sa kanya, “Naririnig mo ba ang sinasabi ng mga ito?” At sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, “Oo. Hindi pa ba ninyo nababasa,
‘Mula sa bibig ng mga sanggol at ng mga musmos,
naghanda ka para sa iyong sarili ng papuring lubos?’ ”
17 Pagkatapos niyang iwan sila, lumabas siya sa lungsod papuntang Betania, at doon ay nagpalipas ng gabi.
Sinumpa ang Puno ng Igos(G)
18 Nang kinaumagahan, habang pabalik siya sa lungsod ay nagutom siya. 19 Nang makakita siya ng isang puno ng igos sa tabi ng daan, nilapitan niya ito. Ngunit wala siyang natagpuang kahit ano roon, kundi mga dahon lamang. Sinabi niya rito, “Hindi ka na muling mamumunga kahit kailan!” At biglang natuyo ang puno ng igos. 20 Nang ito'y makita ng mga alagad, nagtaka sila at nagtanong, “Paano nangyaring biglang natuyo ang puno ng igos?” 21 Sumagot (H) si Jesus at sinabi sa kanila, “Tinitiyak ko sa inyo, kung kayo'y may pananampalataya at walang pag-aalinlangan, hindi lamang ang nagawa sa puno ng igos ang inyong magagawa, kundi kahit sabihin ninyo sa bundok na ito, ‘Umalis ka diyan at itapon mo ang sarili sa dagat,’ ito ay mangyayari. 22 At anumang hingin ninyo sa panalangin, kung may kalakip na pananampalataya, ay inyong tatanggapin.”
Pagtuligsa sa Awtoridad ni Jesus(I)
23 Pagpasok ni Jesus sa templo ay lumapit sa kanya ang mga punong pari at ang matatandang pinuno ng bayan. Habang siya'y nagtuturo ay nagtanong sila, “Ano'ng awtoridad mo at ginagawa mo ang mga bagay na ito? At sino ang nagbigay sa iyo ng awtoridad na ito?” 24 Sumagot si Jesus sa kanila, “Mayroon din akong katanungan sa inyo, at kung sasagutin ninyo ay sasabihin ko sa inyo kung ano ang awtoridad ko sa paggawa ng mga bagay na ito. 25 Saan ba nagmula ang bautismo ni Juan? Mula ba sa langit o mula sa mga tao?” At ito'y pinagtalunan nila, “Kung sasabihin natin, ‘Mula sa langit,’ sasabihin naman niya sa atin, ‘Bakit hindi kayo naniwala sa kanya?’ 26 Ngunit kung sasabihin natin, ‘Mula sa mga tao,’ takot naman tayo sa maraming tao, sapagkat kinikilala ng lahat na si Juan ay isang propeta.” 27 Kaya't sumagot sila kay Jesus, “Hindi namin alam.” Sinabi naman niya sa kanila, “Hindi ko rin sasabihin sa inyo kung ano ang aking awtoridad sa paggawa ko ng mga bagay na ito.
Ang Talinghaga tungkol sa Dalawang Anak
28 “Ano sa palagay ninyo? May isang taong may dalawang anak. Lumapit siya sa una, at sinabi, ‘Anak, pumunta ka ngayon sa ubasan at magtrabaho.’ 29 Subalit siya'y sumagot at nagsabi, ‘Ayaw ko’; ngunit pagkatapos ay nagbago ang kanyang isip at pumunta rin. 30 Lumapit din siya sa pangalawa, at gayundin ang sinabi. ‘Pupunta po ako’, ang sabi nito, ngunit hindi naman pumunta. 31 Alin sa dalawa ang sumunod sa kagustuhan ng kanyang ama?” Sinabi nila, “Ang una.” Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, “Tinitiyak ko sa inyo, ang mga maniningil ng buwis at ang masasamang babae ay nauuna pa sa inyo sa pagpasok sa kaharian ng Diyos. 32 Sapagkat (J) dumating sa inyo si Juan upang ipakita ang daan ng katuwiran, gayunma'y hindi kayo naniwala sa kanya; subalit naniwala sa kanya ang mga maniningil ng buwis at ang masasamang babae. At kahit nakita ninyo ito ay hindi pa rin kayo nagbago ng pag-iisip at naniwala sa kanya.

33 “Dinggin (L) ninyo ang isa pang talinghaga: May isang taong pinuno ng sambahayan, na nagtanim ng ubas sa kanyang bukirin, at binakuran niya ang palibot nito. Naglagay siya roon ng isang pisaan ng ubas at nagtayo ng isang toreng bantayan. Pinaupahan niya ang ubasan sa mga magsasaka at siya'y nangibang-bayan. 34 Nang malapit na ang panahon ng pamimitas ng bunga, pinapunta niya ang kanyang mga alipin sa mga magsasaka upang kumuha ng mga bunga para sa kanya. 35 Subalit kinuha ng mga magsasaka ang kanyang mga alipin. Binugbog nila ang isa, pinatay ang iba, at pinagbabato ang isa pa. 36 Muli siyang nagpadala ng iba pang mga alipin na mas marami pa sa nauna; subalit ganoon din ang ginawa nila sa kanila. 37 Sa kahuli-hulihan ay pinapunta niya sa kanila ang kanyang anak na lalaki. Wika niya, ‘Igagalang nila ang aking anak.’ 38 Subalit nang makita ng mga magsasaka ang anak, sinabi nila sa isa't isa, ‘Ito ang tagapagmana. Halikayo, patayin natin siya nang makuha natin ang kanyang mana.’ 39 Kaya't siya'y kinuha nila, itinapon sa labas ng ubasan, at pinatay. 40 Kaya't pagdating ng may-ari ng ubasan, ano kaya ang kanyang gagawin sa mga magsasakang iyon?” 41 Sinabi nila sa kanya, “Papatayin niya ang mga masasamang taong iyon sa kakila-kilabot na paraan at ang ubasan ay ipagkakatiwala niya sa ibang mga magsasaka na magbibigay sa kanya ng mga bunga sa mga takdang panahon.” 42 Sinabi (M) ni Jesus sa kanila, “Hindi pa ba ninyo nababasa sa mga kasulatan,
‘Ang batong itinakwil ng mga tagapagtayo ng bahay
ang siyang naging batong panulukan;
Ito'y gawa ng Panginoon,
at kahanga-hangang pagmasdan’?
43 Kaya sinasabi ko sa inyo, ‘Aalisin sa inyo ang kaharian ng Diyos at ibibigay sa isang bansang nagbibigay ng mga bunga nito.’ 44 [Ang mahulog sa ibabaw ng batong ito ay madudurog, subalit dudurugin nito ang sinumang mabagsakan niya.]”[b]
45 Nang marinig ng mga punong pari at ng mga Fariseo ang kanyang mga talinghaga, naunawaan nilang tungkol sa kanila ang kanyang mga sinasabi. 46 At nang balak na sana nilang dakpin si Jesus, natakot sila sa napakaraming tao, sapagkat kinikilala nila na siya'y isang propeta.

21 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased,
16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.
18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?
24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
26 But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.
27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
28 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.
31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.
40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

The Triumphal Entry(A)
21 Now (B)when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to [a]Bethphage, at (C)the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. 3 And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
4 [b]All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:

‘Behold, your King is coming to you,

Jesus Cleanses the Temple(K)
12 (L)Then Jesus went into the temple [d]of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the (M)money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, (N)‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a (O)‘den of thieves.’ ”

And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read,

The Fig Tree Withered(S)
18 (T)Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. 19 (U)And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.
The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree(V)
20 (W)And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?”
21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, (X)if you have faith and (Y)do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, (Z)but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 And (AA)whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
Jesus’ Authority Questioned(AB)
23 (AC)Now when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people confronted Him as He was teaching, and (AD)said, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?”
24 But Jesus answered and said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things: 25 The (AE)baptism of (AF)John—where was it from? From heaven or from men?”
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ 26 But if we say, ‘From men,’ we (AG)fear the multitude, (AH)for all count John as a prophet.” 27 So they answered Jesus and said, “We do not know.”
And He said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
The Parable of the Two Sons
28 “But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go, work today in my (AI)vineyard.’ 29 He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went. 30 Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father?”
They said to Him, “The first.”
Jesus said to them, (AJ)“Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. 32 For (AK)John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; (AL)but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward [f]relent and believe him.
The Parable of the Wicked Vinedressers(AM)
33 “Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner (AN)who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and (AO)went into a far country. 34 Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. 35 (AP)And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. 36 Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. 37 Then last of all he sent his (AQ)son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, (AR)‘This is the heir. (AS)Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ 39 (AT)So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40 “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?”
41 (AU)They said to Him, (AV)“He will destroy those wicked men miserably, (AW)and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will [g]render to him the fruits in their seasons.”
42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
(AX)‘The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone.
This was the Lord’s doing,
And it is marvelous in our eyes’?
43 “Therefore I say to you, (AY)the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. 44 And (AZ)whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, (BA)it will grind him to powder.”
45 Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they [h]perceived that He was speaking of them. 46 But when they sought to lay hands on Him, they (BB)feared the multitudes, because (BC)they took Him for a prophet.
