24 แล้วพระเยซูก็ออกไปจากพระวิหาร ขณะที่กำลังเดินไปอยู่นั้น เหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ได้ชี้ตึกในบริเวณพระวิหารให้พระองค์ดู 2 พระองค์กล่าวตอบว่า “เจ้าเห็นสิ่งเหล่านี้ใช่ไหม เราขอบอกความจริงกับเจ้าว่า ไม่มีหินก้อนใดซึ่งวางทับซ้อนกันอยู่ที่นี่จะรอดจากการทำลายไปได้”
3 ขณะที่พระองค์นั่งอยู่บนภูเขามะกอก เหล่าสาวกมาพูดกับพระองค์เป็นการส่วนตัวว่า “โปรดบอกพวกเราเถิดว่า สิ่งเหล่านี้จะเกิดขึ้นเมื่อใด และปรากฏการณ์สำคัญอันใดที่จะบ่งบอกให้รู้ว่า พระองค์จะมาและเป็นการสิ้นยุคนี้” 4 พระเยซูกล่าวตอบว่า “จงระวัง อย่าให้ผู้ใดชักจูงเจ้าไปในทางที่ผิด 5 เพราะว่าจะมีคนจำนวนมากที่จะมาและกล่าวอ้างนามของเราโดยว่า ‘เราเป็นพระคริสต์’ และจะชักจูงคนจำนวนมากไปในทางที่ผิด 6 เจ้าจะได้ยินถึงการสงครามต่างๆ และข่าวลือเรื่องสงคราม ก็อย่าตกใจกลัว เพราะสิ่งเหล่านั้นต้องเกิดขึ้นก่อน แต่การสิ้นสุดจะยังไม่เกิดขึ้นในทันที 7 ประเทศชาติต่างๆ จะต่อสู้กัน และอาณาจักรต่างๆ จะต่อสู้กัน จะเกิดความอดอยากและแผ่นดินไหวตามที่ต่างๆ 8 แต่สิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นเพียงการเริ่มต้นความเจ็บปวดเหมือนก่อนคลอดลูก

15 เมื่อเจ้าเห็นสิ่งที่น่าชังซึ่งทำให้เกิดความวิบัติที่ดาเนียลผู้เผยคำกล่าวของพระเจ้าได้พูดถึง ยืนอยู่ในสถานที่บริสุทธิ์ (ให้ผู้อ่านเข้าใจเถิด)[a] 16 เวลานั้นจงปล่อยให้ผู้คนในแคว้นยูเดียหนีไปยังแถบภูเขา 17 อย่าให้คนที่อยู่บนหลังคาบ้านลงไปขนสิ่งที่อยู่ในบ้านของเขาออกมา 18 อย่าให้คนที่อยู่ในทุ่งนากลับไปหยิบเสื้อตัวนอกของเขา 19 วิบัติจะเกิดแก่หญิงมีครรภ์และมารดาผู้ให้นมลูกในวันนั้น 20 จงอธิษฐานขอว่าเวลาเจ้าหนีไปไม่ใช่ฤดูหนาวหรือวันสะบาโต 21 เพราะในเวลานั้นจะเป็นเวลาแห่งความทุกข์ยากลำบากอันใหญ่หลวงอย่างที่ไม่เคยมีมาก่อน ตั้งแต่แรกสร้างโลกจนถึงเวลานี้ และจะไม่เป็นเช่นนั้นอีก 22 หากว่าพระเจ้าไม่ลดจำนวนวันอันแสนทุกข์ให้น้อยลง ก็จะไม่มีผู้ใดรอดชีวิตได้เลย แต่เพราะเห็นแก่ผู้ที่พระเจ้าได้เลือกไว้ พระองค์จึงลดจำนวนวันลง 23 ในเวลานั้นถ้าใครพูดกับเจ้าว่า ‘ดูสิ พระคริสต์อยู่ที่นี่’ หรือ ‘พระองค์อยู่ที่นั่น’ ก็อย่าเชื่อเขา 24 เพราะบรรดาพระคริสต์จอมปลอมและผู้เผยคำกล่าวจอมปลอมจะแสดงตน และแสดงปรากฏการณ์อัศจรรย์รวมถึงสิ่งมหัศจรรย์ยิ่งใหญ่ต่างๆ เพื่อหากว่าเป็นไปได้ ก็จะชักจูงให้แม้ผู้ที่พระเจ้าเลือกไว้ให้หลงไปในทางที่ผิด 25 เราขอบอกพวกเจ้าล่วงหน้าไว้ก่อน

24 ขณะพระเยซูทรงดำเนินออกจากพระวิหาร เหล่าสาวกเข้ามาหาพระองค์ ชวนให้พระองค์ชมอาคารต่างๆ ในบริเวณพระวิหาร 2 พระองค์ตรัสว่า “พวกท่านเห็นสิ่งทั้งปวงนี้ใช่ไหม? เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่าศิลาที่นี่จะไม่เหลือซ้อนทับกันสักก้อนเดียว ทุกก้อนจะถูกโยนทิ้งลงมาหมด”
3 ขณะพระเยซูประทับอยู่บนภูเขามะกอกเทศ เหล่าสาวกมาเข้าเฝ้าเป็นการส่วนตัวและทูลว่า “ขอทรงบอกพวกข้าพระองค์เถิด เหตุการณ์นี้จะเกิดขึ้นเมื่อใดและอะไรเป็นหมายสำคัญว่าพระองค์จะเสด็จมาและเป็นหมายสำคัญว่าจะสิ้นยุค?”
4 พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า “จงระวัง อย่าให้ใครมาล่อลวงท่าน 5 เพราะหลายคนจะมาในนามของเราและอ้างว่า ‘เราเป็นพระคริสต์[a]’และล่อลวงคนเป็นอันมาก 6 ท่านจะได้ยินข่าวสงครามและข่าวลือเรื่องสงคราม จงระวัง อย่าตื่นตกใจ สิ่งเหล่านั้นต้องเกิดขึ้นแต่ยังไม่ถึงจุดจบ 7 ประชาชาติต่อประชาชาติ อาณาจักรต่ออาณาจักรจะสู้รบกัน จะเกิดการกันดารอาหารและแผ่นดินไหวในที่ต่างๆ 8 สิ่งทั้งปวงนี้คือขั้นเริ่มต้นของความเจ็บปวดก่อนคลอดบุตร
9 “แล้วท่านจะถูกมอบไว้ให้เขาข่มเหงและประหัตประหาร ชนชาติทั้งปวงจะเกลียดชังท่านเพราะเรา 10 ครั้งนั้นหลายคนจะหันเหจากความเชื่อ จะทรยศหักหลังและเกลียดชังซึ่งกันและกัน 11 และจะมีผู้เผยพระวจนะเท็จมากมายมาหลอกลวงประชาชนเป็นอันมาก 12 เนื่องจากความชั่วร้ายเพิ่มทวีขึ้น ความรักของคนส่วนใหญ่จะเย็นชาลง 13 แต่ผู้ที่ยืนหยัดจนถึงที่สุดจะได้รับการช่วยให้รอด 14 และข่าวประเสริฐเรื่องอาณาจักรของพระเจ้านี้จะถูกประกาศไปทั่วโลกเป็นพยานแก่มวลประชาชาติแล้วยุคนี้จะสิ้นสุด

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times(A)
24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another;(B) every one will be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives,(C) the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming(D) and of the end of the age?”(E)
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.(F) 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.(G) 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.(H) There will be famines(I) and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted(J) and put to death,(K) and you will be hated by all nations because of me.(L) 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets(M) will appear and deceive many people.(N) 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.(O) 14 And this gospel of the kingdom(P) will be preached in the whole world(Q) as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place(R) ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a](S) spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop(T) go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!(U) 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.(V)
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect(W) those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.(X) 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders(Y) to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

24 Then (B)Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, (C)not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age(D)
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, (E)the disciples came to Him privately, saying, (F)“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: (G)“Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For (H)many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ (I)and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of (J)wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For (K)nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be (L)famines, [b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 (M)“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then (N)many false prophets will rise up and (O)deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow (P)cold. 13 (Q)But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this (R)gospel of the kingdom (S)will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
The Great Tribulation(T)
15 (U)“Therefore when you see the (V)‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (W)(whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But (X)woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For (Y)then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; (Z)but for the [c]elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
23 (AA)“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For (AB)false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, (AC)if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.
