The Destruction of Jerusalem^(A)

^20 (B)“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.

⁴⁸ If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”

¹³ They also set up false witnesses who said, “This man does not cease to speak ^[a]blasphemous words against this holy place and the law;

²⁸ crying out, “Men of Israel, help! This is the man ^(A)who teaches all men everywhere against the people, the law, and this place; and furthermore he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.”
