²⁵ And they went and woke him, saying, ^(A)“Save us, Lord; we are perishing.”

⁶ So the captain came and said to him, “What do you mean, you sleeper? Arise, ^(A)call out to your god! ^(B)Perhaps the god will give a thought to us, that we may not perish.”

²⁴ And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and ^(A)rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, ^(B)and there was a calm.

³⁸ But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” ³⁹ And he awoke and ^(A)rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and ^(B)there was a great calm.

¹² O our God, will you not ^(A)execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but ^(B)our eyes are on you.”

¹¹ And Asa ^(A)cried to the Lord his God, “O Lord, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O Lord our God, ^(B)for we rely on you, ^(C)and in your name we have come against this multitude. O Lord, you are our God; let not man prevail against you.”
