^44 [a]But I say to you, ^(A)love your enemies, bless those who curse you, ^(B)do good to those who hate you, and pray ^(C)for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

⁹ Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

³⁹ for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ^(A)‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”

³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, ^(A)inherit the kingdom ^(B)prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

¹⁶ And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.
