⁴ but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps.

²⁷ But ^(A)the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and ^(B)you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and ^(C)is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

⁹ You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact ^(A)the Spirit of God dwells in you. ^(B)Anyone who does not have ^(C)the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

³⁴ For he whom ^(A)God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit ^(B)without measure.

²⁰ But you have been ^(A)anointed by ^(B)the Holy One, and ^(C)you all have knowledge.^[a]

¹⁹ It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, ^(A)devoid of the Spirit.

²² But ^(A)the fruit of the Spirit is ^(B)love, joy, peace, patience, ^(C)kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ^23 (D)gentleness, ^(E)self-control; ^(F)against such things there is no law.

¹⁵ (^(A)John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ^(B)‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) ¹⁶ For from ^(C)his fullness we have all received, ^(D)grace upon grace.^[a]
