The Great Tribulation^(A)

^14 (B)“So when you see the ^(C)‘abomination of desolation,’ ^[a]spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then ^(D)let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

³ Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come ^(A)unless the falling away comes first, and ^(B)the man of ^[a]sin is revealed, ^(C)the son of perdition,

⁴ who opposes and ^(A)exalts himself ^(B)above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits ^[a]as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

The Two Witnesses

11 Then I was given ^(A)a reed like a measuring rod. ^[a]And the angel stood, saying, ^(B)“Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.

² But leave out ^(A)the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, ^(B)for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will ^(C)tread the holy city underfoot for ^(D)forty-two months.

The Beast from the Sea

13 Then ^[a]I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw ^(A)a beast rising up out of the sea, ^(B)having ^[b]seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a ^(C)blasphemous name.

² Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The ^(A)dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

⁴ So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, ^(A)“Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

⁵ And he was given ^(B)a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to ^[a]continue for ^(C)forty-two months. ⁶ Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, ^(D)His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. ⁷ It was granted to him ^(E)to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And ^(F)authority was given him over every ^[b]tribe, tongue, and nation. ⁸ All who dwell on the earth will worship him, ^(G)whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain ^(H)from the foundation of the world.
