The Parable of the Lost Sheep^(A)

¹⁰ “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven ^(B)their angels always ^(C)see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

^14 (A)Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will ^(B)inherit salvation?

²² So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to ^(A)Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

⁷ Now behold, ^(A)an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. ⁸ Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” ⁹ So he went out and followed him, and ^(B)did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought ^(C)he was seeing a vision. ¹⁰ When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, ^(D)which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.

¹¹ And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that ^(E)the Lord has sent His angel, and ^(F)has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”

¹⁶ So he answered, ^(A)“Do not fear, for ^(B)those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” ¹⁷ And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord ^(C)opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of ^(D)horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

^31 (A)And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His ^[a]elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Esau Comes to Meet Jacob

32 So Jacob went on his way, and ^(A)the angels of God met him. ² When Jacob saw them, he said, “This is God’s ^(B)camp.” And he called the name of that place ^[a]Mahanaim.
