¹² Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”

^32 (A)Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, ³³ just ^(B)as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

¹³ Then the messenger who had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, “Now listen, the words of the prophets with one accord encourage the king. Please, let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak encouragement.”

¹⁴ And Micaiah said, “As the Lord lives, ^(A)whatever the Lord says to me, that I will speak.”

¹⁷ But ^(A)the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, ^(B)without partiality ^(C)and without hypocrisy.

⁵ to whom we did not yield submission even for an hour, that ^(A)the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

^3 (A)We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.

²⁷ Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a ^[a]piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you.”
