Satan’s Doom

When the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, in order to gather them for battle; they are as numerous as the sands of the sea.(A) They marched up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. The Thousand Years

20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years(A) and threw him into the pit and locked and sealed it over him, so that he would deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be let out for a little while.(B)

Michael Defeats the Dragon

And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back,(A) but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.(B)

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven proclaiming,

“Now have come the salvation and the power
    and the kingdom of our God
    and the authority of his Messiah,[a]
for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down,
    who accuses them day and night before our God.(C)
