The Great Tribulation(C)

23 (J)“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For (K)false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, (L)if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.

26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 (M)For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 (N)For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

The Coming of the Son of Man(O)

29 (P)“Immediately after the tribulation of those days (Q)the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 (R)Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, (S)and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 (T)And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His [b]elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

The Abomination of Desolation

15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation (E)spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in (F)the holy place ((G)let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 (H)Let the one who is on (I)the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 19 And (J)alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be (K)great tribulation, (L)such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for (M)the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 23 (N)Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For (O)false christs and (P)false prophets will arise and (Q)perform great signs and wonders, (R)so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, (S)I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, ‘Look, (T)he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 (U)For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be (V)the coming of the Son of Man. 28 (W)Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

The Coming of the Son of Man
