The Family of Israel(A)

From Judah to David(D)

The sons of (E)Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by the daughter of (F)Shua, the Canaanitess. (G)Er, the firstborn of Judah, was wicked in the sight of the Lord; so He killed him. And (H)Tamar, his daughter-in-law, (I)bore him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

The sons of (J)Perez were Hezron and Hamul. The sons of Zerah were [b]Zimri, (K)Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and [c]Dara—five of them in all.

The son of (L)Carmi was [d]Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the (M)accursed[e] thing.
