Tentación de Jesús(A)
4 Entonces Jesús fue llevado por el Espíritu al desierto para ser tentado por el diablo. 2 Después de haber ayunado cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, sintió hambre. 3 Se le acercó el tentador y le dijo:
—Si eres Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se conviertan en pan.
4 Él respondió y dijo:
—Escrito está: “No sólo de pan vivirá el hombre, sino de toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.”
5 Entonces el diablo lo llevó a la santa ciudad, lo puso sobre el pináculo del Templo 6 y le dijo:
—Si eres Hijo de Dios, tírate abajo, pues escrito está: “A sus ángeles mandará acerca de ti”, y “En sus manos te sostendrán, para que no tropieces con tu pie en piedra.”
7 Jesús le dijo:
—Escrito está también: “No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.”
8 Otra vez lo llevó el diablo a un monte muy alto y le mostró todos los reinos del mundo y la gloria de ellos, 9 y le dijo:
—Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adoras.
10 Entonces Jesús le dijo:
—Vete, Satanás, porque escrito está: “Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y sólo a él servirás.”
11 El diablo entonces lo dejó, y vinieron ángeles y lo servían.
Comienzo del ministerio(B)
12 Cuando Jesús oyó que Juan estaba preso, volvió a Galilea. 13 Dejando Nazaret, fue y habitó en Capernaúm, ciudad marítima, en la región de Zabulón y de Neftalí, 14 para que se cumpliera lo que dijo el profeta Isaías:
15 «¡Tierra de Zabulón y tierra de Neftalí,
camino del mar, al otro lado del Jordán,
Galilea de los gentiles!
16 El pueblo que habitaba en tinieblas vio gran luz,
y a los que habitaban en región de sombra de muerte,
luz les resplandeció.»
17 Desde entonces comenzó Jesús a predicar y a decir: «¡Arrepentíos, porque el reino de los cielos se ha acercado!»
Jesús llama a cuatro pescadores
18 Pasando Jesús junto al Mar de Galilea, vio a dos hermanos, Simón, llamado Pedro, y su hermano Andrés, que echaban la red en el mar, porque eran pescadores. 19 Y les dijo:
—Venid en pos de mí, y os haré pescadores de hombres.
20 Ellos entonces, dejando al instante las redes, lo siguieron. 21 Pasando de allí, vio a otros dos hermanos, Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y su hermano Juan, en la barca con Zebedeo, su padre, que remendaban sus redes; y los llamó. 22 Ellos, dejando al instante la barca y a su padre, lo siguieron.
Jesús ministra a la multitud
23 Recorría Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, predicando el evangelio del Reino y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo. 24 Se difundió su fama por toda Siria, y le trajeron todos los que tenían dolencias, los afligidos por diversas enfermedades y tormentos, los endemoniados, lunáticos y paralíticos, y los sanó. 25 Lo siguió mucha gente de Galilea, de Decápolis, de Jerusalén, de Judea y del otro lado del Jordán.

Ђаво искушава Исуса
4 Тада је Дух одвео Исуса у пустињу, да га ђаво куша. 2 Пошто је Исус постио четрдесет дана и четрдесет ноћи, напокон огладне. 3 Кушач му тада приђе и рече му: „Ако си Син Божији, реци нека ови каменови постану хлебови.“ 4 Исус му одговори:
„Неће човек живети само од хлеба,
већ од сваке речи која излази из Божијих уста.“
5 Онда га је ђаво одвео у Свети град, поставио га на врх храма 6 и рекао му: „Ако си Син Божији, баци се доле јер је у Светом писму написано:
’Он ће заповедити својим анђелима за тебе,
да те својим рукама понесу,
да ногом не би о камен запео.’“
7 Исус му одговори: „Написано је и ово: ’Не искушавај Господа, Бога свога.’“
8 Тада је ђаво опет одвео Исуса на једну веома високу гору, показао му сва светска царства и њихову славу, 9 и рекао му: „Све ћу ти ово дати ако паднеш преда мном и поклониш ми се.“
10 Тада му Исус одврати: „Одлази од мене, Сатано! Јер у Писму пише:
’Господу Богу своме клањај се,
и њему једином служи.’“
11 Ђаво је након овога отишао од Исуса, а анђели су му приступили и служили му.
Почетак Исусовог јавног деловања
12 Када је Исус чуо да је Јован одведен у тамницу, повукао се у Галилеју. 13 Напустио је Назарет и настанио се у Кафарнауму, крај мора, на подручју Завулоновог и Нефталимовог племена, 14 да би се испунило оно што је Бог рекао преко пророка Исаије:
15 „Земља завулоновска и земља нефталимска,
на путу што води ка мору,
с друге стране Јордана,
Галилеја многобожачка;
16 народ што у тами седи,
велику је светлост угледао,
онима што у крају смрти живе,
и под њеном сенком седе,
светлост јарка освану.“
17 Од тада је Исус почео да проповеда и говори: „Покајте се, јер се приближило Царство небеско!“

18 А када је ишао поред Галилејског језера, Исус виде два брата, Симона, названог Петар, и његовог брата Андрију, како бацају мреже у море. Исус – учитељ и исцелитељ
23 Исус је обилазио сву Галилеју. Поучавао је народ у њиховим синагогама, објављивао Радосну вест о Царству и лечио сваку болест и сваку немоћ у народу. 24 Глас о њему раширио се по свој Сирији. Људи су му доносили све болеснике који су патили од различитих болести и мука, опседнуте злим духовима, оболеле од падавице и непокретне, и он их је излечио. 25 За њим је ишло мноштво света из Галилеје, Декапоља, Јерусалима, Јудеје, и с оне стране Јордана.

Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness(A)
4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a](B) by the devil.(C) 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights,(D) he was hungry. 3 The tempter(E) came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God,(F) tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”(G)
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city(H) and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,”(I) he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]”(J)
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]”(K)
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan!(L) For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[e]”(M)
11 Then the devil left him,(N) and angels came and attended him.(O)
Jesus Begins to Preach
12 When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison,(P) he withdrew to Galilee.(Q) 13 Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum,(R) which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali— 14 to fulfill(S) what was said through the prophet Isaiah:
15 “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali,
the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the Gentiles—
16 the people living in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the shadow of death
a light has dawned.”[f](T)
17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven(U) has come near.”
Jesus Calls His First Disciples(V)
18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee,(W) he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter(X) and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,”(Y) Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.(Z)
21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John.(AA) They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.(AB)
Jesus Heals the Sick
23 Jesus went throughout Galilee,(AC) teaching in their synagogues,(AD) proclaiming the good news(AE) of the kingdom,(AF) and healing every disease and sickness among the people.(AG) 24 News about him spread all over Syria,(AH) and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed,(AI) those having seizures,(AJ) and the paralyzed;(AK) and he healed them. 25 Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis,[g] Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.(AL)
