24 At lumabas si Jesus sa templo, at payaon sa kaniyang lakad; at nagsilapit sa kaniya ang kaniyang mga alagad upang sa kaniya'y ipamalas ang mga gusali ng templo.
2 Datapuwa't siya'y sumagot at sa kanila'y sinabi, Hindi baga ninyo nangakikita ang lahat ng mga bagay na ito? katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo, Dito'y walang maiiwang isang bato sa ibabaw ng ibang bato, na hindi ibabagsak.
3 At samantalang siya'y nakaupo sa bundok ng mga Olivo, ay nagsilapit sa kaniya ng bukod ang mga alagad, na nagsisipagsabi, Sabihin mo sa amin, kailan mangyayari ang mga bagay na ito? at ano ang magiging tanda ng iyong pagparito, at ng katapusan ng sanglibutan?
4 At sumagot si Jesus at sinabi sa kanila, Mangagingat kayo na huwag kayong mailigaw ninoman.
5 Sapagka't marami ang magsisiparito sa aking pangalan, na mangagsasabi, Ako ang Cristo; at ililigaw ang marami.
6 At mangakakarinig kayo ng mga digmaan at mga alingawngaw ng mga digmaan; ingatan ninyo na huwag kayong magulumihanan: sapagka't kinakailangang ito'y mangyari datapuwa't hindi pa ang wakas.
7 Sapagka't magsisitindig ang bansa laban sa bansa, at ang kaharian laban sa kaharian; at magkakagutom at lilindol sa iba't ibang dako.
8 Datapuwa't ang lahat ng mga bagay na ito ay siyang pasimula ng kahirapan.
9 Kung magkagayo'y ibibigay kayo sa kapighatian, at kayo'y papatayin: at kayo'y kapopootan ng lahat ng mga bansa dahil sa aking pangalan.
10 At kung magkagayo'y maraming mangatitisod, at mangagkakanuluhan ang isa't isa, at mangagkakapootan ang isa't isa.
11 At magsisibangon ang maraming bulaang propeta, at kanilang ililigaw ang marami.
12 At dahil sa pagsagana ng katampalasanan, ang pagibig ng marami ay lalamig.
13 Datapuwa't ang magtitiis hanggang sa wakas ay siyang maliligtas.
14 At ipangangaral ang evangeliong ito ng kaharian sa buong sanglibutan sa pagpapatotoo sa lahat ng mga bansa; at kung magkagayo'y darating ang wakas.
15 Kaya nga pagkakita ninyo ng kasuklamsuklam na paninira, na sinalita sa pamamagitan ng propeta Daniel, na natatayo sa dakong banal (unawain ng bumabasa),
16 Kung magkagayo'y magsitakas sa mga bundok ang nangasa Judea:
17 Ang nasa bubungan ay huwag bumaba upang maglabas ng mga bagay sa loob ng kaniyang bahay:
18 At ang nasa bukid ay huwag magbalik upang kumuha ng kaniyang balabal.
19 Datapuwa't sa aba ng nangagdadalang-tao at nangagpapasuso sa mga araw na yaon!
20 At magsipanalangin kayo na huwag mangyari ang pagtakas ninyo sa panahong taginaw, o sa sabbath man:
21 Sapagka't kung magkagayo'y magkakaroon ng malaking kapighatian, na ang gayo'y di pa nangyayari buhat sa pasimula ng sanglibutan hanggang ngayon, at ni hindi na mangyayari kailan man.
22 At malibang paikliin ang mga araw na yaon, ay walang lamang makaliligtas: datapuwa't dahil sa mga hirang ay paiikliin ang mga araw na yaon.
23 Kung magkagayon, kung may magsabi sa inyong sinomang tao, Narito ang Cristo, o, Nariyan; huwag ninyong paniwalaan.
24 Sapagka't may magsisilitaw na mga bulaang Cristo, at mga bulaang propeta, at mangagpapakita ng mga dakilang tanda at mga kababalaghan; ano pa't ililigaw, kung maaari, pati ng mga hirang.
25 Narito, ipinagpauna ko nang sinabi sa inyo.
26 Kaya nga kung sa inyo'y kanilang sasabihin, Narito, siya'y nasa ilang; huwag kayong magsilabas: Narito, siya'y nasa mga silid; huwag ninyong paniwalaan.
27 Sapagka't gaya ng kidlat na kumikidlat sa silanganan, at nakikita hanggang sa kalunuran; gayon din naman ang pagparito ng Anak ng tao.
28 Saan man naroon ang bangkay, ay doon mangagkakatipon ang mga uwak.
29 Datapuwa't karakarakang pagkatapos ng kapighatian sa mga araw na yaon ay magdidilim ang araw, at ang buwan ay hindi magbibigay ng kaniyang liwanag, at mangalalaglag ang mga bituin mula sa langit, at magsisipangatal ang mga kapangyarihan sa mga langit:
30 At kung magkagayo'y lilitaw ang tanda ng Anak ng tao sa langit: at kung magkagayo'y magsisitaghoy ang lahat ng mga angkan sa lupa, at mangakikita nila ang Anak ng tao na napaparitong sumasa mga alapaap ng langit na may kapangyarihan at dakilang kaluwalhatian.
31 At susuguin ang kaniyang mga anghel na may matinding pakakak, at kanilang titipunin ang kaniyang mga hinirang mula sa apat na hangin ng sanglibutan, mula sa isang dulo ng langit hanggang sa kabila.
32 Sa puno ng igos nga ay pagaralan ninyo ang kaniyang talinghaga: pagka nananariwa ang kaniyang sanga, at sumusupling ang mga dahon, ay nalalaman ninyo na malapit na ang tagaraw;
33 Gayon din naman kayo, pagka nangakita ninyo ang lahat ng mga bagay na ito, ay talastasin ninyo na siya'y malapit na, nasa mga pintuan nga.
34 Katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo, Hindi lilipas ang lahing ito, hanggang sa mangaganap ang lahat ng mga bagay na ito.
35 Ang langit at ang lupa ay lilipas, datapuwa't ang aking mga salita ay hindi lilipas.
36 Nguni't tungkol sa araw at oras na yaon walang makakaalam, kahit ang mga anghel sa langit, kahit ang Anak, kundi ang Ama lamang.
37 At kung paano ang mga araw ni Noe, gayon din naman ang pagparito ng Anak ng tao.
38 Sapagka't gaya ng mga araw bago nagkagunaw, sila'y nagsisikain at nagsisiinom, at nangagaasawa at pinapapagaasawa, hanggang sa araw na pumasok si Noe sa daong,
39 At hindi nila nalalaman hanggang sa dumating ang paggunaw, at sila'y tinangay na lahat; ay gayon din naman ang pagparito ng Anak ng tao.
40 Kung magkagayo'y sasa bukid ang dalawang lalake; ang isa'y kukunin, at ang isa'y iiwan:
41 Dalawang babaing nagsisigiling sa isang gilingan; ang isa'y kukunin, at ang isa'y iiwan.
42 Mangagpuyat nga kayo: sapagka't hindi ninyo nalalaman kung anong araw paririto ang inyong Panginoon.
43 Datapuwa't ito'y talastasin ninyo, na kung nalalaman ng puno ng sangbahayan kung anong panahon darating ang magnanakaw, ay siya'y magpupuyat, at hindi niya pababayaang tibagin ang kaniyang bahay.
44 Kaya nga kayo'y magsihanda naman; sapagka't paririto ang Anak ng tao sa oras na hindi ninyo iniisip.
45 Sino nga baga ang aliping tapat at matalino, na pinagkatiwalaan ng kaniyang panginoon sa kaniyang sangbahayan, upang sila'y bigyan ng pagkain sa kapanahunan?
46 Mapalad yaong aliping kung dumating ang kaniyang panginoon, ay maratnan siyang gayon ang kaniyang ginagawa.
47 Katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo, na sa kaniya'y ipagkakatiwala ang lahat niyang pag-aari.
48 Datapuwa't kung ang masamang aliping yaon ay magsabi sa kaniyang puso, Magtatagal ang aking panginoon;
49 At magsimulang bugbugin ang kaniyang mga kapuwa alipin, at makipagkainan at makipaginuman sa mga lasing;
50 Darating ang panginoon ng aliping yaon sa araw na hindi niya hinihintay, at oras na hindi niya nalalaman,
51 At siya'y babaakin, at isasama ang kaniyang bahagi sa mga mapagpaimbabaw: doon na nga ang pagtangis at pagngangalit ng mga ngipin.

24 Jesus left the temple and was going away. His disciples came to him. They wanted to show him the different buildings that were a part of the temple.
2 But Jesus answered them, `Do you see these buildings? I tell you the truth. Not one stone here will be left on top of another stone. They will all be thrown down!'
3 Jesus was sitting on the hill called the Mount of Olives. The disciples came to him alone. They said, `Tell us, when will this happen? What will be the sign to show you are coming and that it is the end of this world?'
4 Jesus answered them, `Take care. Do not let anyone fool you.
5 Many men will come in my name. They will say, "I am the Christ". They will fool many people.
6 You will hear about wars. You will hear that war is coming. But do not fear. These things must happen, but that is not yet the end.
7 One tribe will fight against another tribe. And one country will fight against another country. The people will have no food to eat. Many people will be sick. The earth will shake in many different places.
8 All these troubles are only the beginning of troubles that will come.
9 `Then people will trouble you and kill you. All nations will hate you because you are true to me.
10 Then many people will stop believing. They will give one another over to trouble. They will hate one another.
11 Many people will come and say they are prophets of God. But they will not be true. They will fool many people.
12 People will do more and more wrong things and many people will stop loving me.
13 But the person who keeps on being true to me until the end, that one will be saved.
14 This good news about the kingdom will be told in all the world. The people in all countries must know about it. And then the end will come.'
15 `Daniel the prophet said that people would put something very bad in the temple.' (Let the one who reads this understand it.)
16 `When that happens, the people in Judea must go quickly to the hills.
17 A person who is on the top of a house must not go down into the house to get things from the house.
18 A person who is working in the fields must not go back home to get his coat.
19 In those days it will be very hard for women who are to have a child. It will be very hard for mothers who have a baby.
20 Ask God that you may not have to go in the cold time of the year or on the Sabbath day.
21 The trouble then will be bigger than any other trouble since God made the world. And there never will be any trouble as big as that.
22 No person would be saved if the Lord did not cut the time of trouble shorter. He will cut it shorter for the sake of his chosen people.
23 `If anyone says to you then, "Look, here is the Christ!" or "There he is!" do not believe it.
24 People will come and say they are the Christ. People will come and say they are prophets. But they are not true. They will show big signs and do wonderful things to fool people. They will fool God's chosen people if they can.
25 Watch! I have told you these things before they happen.
26 So if people say to you, "He is in the wilderness," do not go there. If they say, "He is hiding somewhere," do not believe it.
27 When lightning shines in the east, it can be seen in the west. It will be like that when the Son of Man comes.
28 The big birds that eat meat will all go to the place where the dead body is.'
29 `Right after that time of trouble, the sun will be dark. The moon will not shine. The stars will fall from the sky. And the powers in the sky will be shaken.
30 Then people will see the sign of the Son of Man in the sky. Then all the people of the earth will cry. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds in the sky. He will have much power and will be very great.
31 He will send his angels to call with a loud trumpet or horn. They will gather his chosen people from everywhere all over the earth.'
32 `Learn a lesson from the fig tree. As soon as its branches begin to grow and the leaves come, then you know it will soon be the warm time of the year.
33 It is the same when you see all these things. You will know that the time is very near, right at the door.
34 I tell you the truth. The people who are living then, will not die before all these things happen.
35 The sky and the earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.'
36 `But no one knows the day and the hour when the Son of Man will come. Even the angels in heaven and the Son do not know. Only the Father knows.
37 When the Son of Man comes, it will be as it was in the time of Noah.
38 In the days before the water covered the earth, people ate and drank. They married and gave their daughters to be married. Then one day Noah went into his house built on a boat.
39 The people did not know until much water came and killed them all. When the Son of Man comes, it will be like that.
40 Two men will be working together in the field. One will be taken and the other will be left.
41 Two women will be making flour together. One woman will be taken away and one woman will be left.
42 So watch! You do not know what day your Lord will come.
43 And remember this. The owner of the house does not know at what time of the night a man will come to steal something. If he knew, he would watch and not let the man break into his house.
44 So, be ready! The Son of Man will come at a time when you are not looking for him.
45 `Who is like a wise servant who can be trusted? His master will put him in charge of his other servants. He gives them their food at the right time.
46 The servant who is doing this when his master comes, will be blessed.
47 I tell you the truth. His master will put him in charge of all that he has.
48 But if the servant is bad, he will say to himself, "My master will not come just now."
49 Then he will begin to beat the other servants. He will eat and drink with men who are drunk.
50 The master of that servant will come on a day the servant is not looking for him. He will not know the time he is coming home.
51 The master will punish him and lock him in with people who are not true. People there will cry and grind [make a noise with] their teeth.'

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times(A)
24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another;(B) every one will be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives,(C) the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming(D) and of the end of the age?”(E)
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.(F) 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.(G) 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.(H) There will be famines(I) and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted(J) and put to death,(K) and you will be hated by all nations because of me.(L) 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets(M) will appear and deceive many people.(N) 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.(O) 14 And this gospel of the kingdom(P) will be preached in the whole world(Q) as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place(R) ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a](S) spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop(T) go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!(U) 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.(V)
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect(W) those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.(X) 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders(Y) to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning(Z) that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming(AA) of the Son of Man.(AB) 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.(AC)
29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b](AD)
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn(AE) when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven,(AF) with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels(AG) with a loud trumpet call,(AH) and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door.(AI) 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.(AJ) 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.(AK)
The Day and Hour Unknown(AL)(AM)
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father.(AN) 37 As it was in the days of Noah,(AO) so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,(AP) up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.(AQ) 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.(AR) 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.(AS)
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.(AT) 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming,(AU) he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready,(AV) because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant,(AW) whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.(AX) 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.(AY) 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.(AZ) 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(BA)
