24 Jesús salió del templo y, mientras caminaba, se le acercaron sus discípulos y le mostraron los edificios del templo.
2 Pero él les dijo:
―¿Veis todo esto? Os aseguro que no quedará piedra sobre piedra, pues todo será derribado.
3 Más tarde estaba Jesús sentado en el monte de los Olivos, cuando llegaron los discípulos y le preguntaron en privado:
―¿Cuándo sucederá eso, y cuál será la señal de tu venida y del fin del mundo?
4 ―Tened cuidado de que nadie os engañe —les advirtió Jesús—. 5 Vendrán muchos que, usando mi nombre, dirán: “Yo soy el Cristo”, y engañarán a muchos. 6 Oiréis de guerras y de rumores de guerras, pero procurad no alarmaros. Es necesario que eso suceda, pero no será todavía el fin. 7 Se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino. Habrá hambres y terremotos por todas partes. 8 Todo esto será apenas el comienzo de los dolores.
9 »Entonces os entregarán para que os persigan y os maten, y os odiarán todas las naciones por causa de mi nombre. 10 En aquel tiempo muchos se apartarán de la fe; unos a otros se traicionarán y se odiarán; 11 y surgirá un gran número de falsos profetas que engañarán a muchos. 12 Habrá tanta maldad que el amor de muchos se enfriará, 13 pero el que se mantenga firme hasta el fin será salvo. 14 Y este evangelio del reino se predicará en todo el mundo como testimonio a todas las naciones, y entonces vendrá el fin.
15 »Así que, cuando veáis en el lugar santo “el horrible sacrilegio”,[a] del que habló el profeta Daniel (el que lee, que lo entienda), 16 los que estén en Judea huyan a las montañas. 17 El que esté en la azotea no baje a llevarse nada de su casa. 18 Y el que esté en el campo no regrese para buscar su capa. 19 ¡Qué terrible será en aquellos días para las que estén embarazadas o amamantando! 20 Orad para que vuestra huida no suceda en invierno ni en sábado. 21 Porque habrá una gran tribulación, como no la ha habido desde el principio del mundo hasta ahora, ni la habrá jamás. 22 Si no se acortaran esos días, nadie sobreviviría, pero por causa de los elegidos se acortarán. 23 Entonces, si alguien os dice: “¡Mirad, aquí está el Cristo!” o “¡Allí está!”, no lo creáis. 24 Porque surgirán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas que harán grandes señales y milagros para engañar, a ser posible, aun a los elegidos. 25 Tened en cuenta que os lo he dicho de antemano.
26 »Por eso, si os dicen: “¡Mirad, está en el desierto!”, no salgáis; o: “¡Mirad, está en la casa!”, no lo creáis. 27 Porque, así como el relámpago que sale del oriente se ve hasta en el occidente, así será la venida del Hijo del hombre. 28 Donde esté el cadáver, allí se reunirán los buitres.
29 »Inmediatamente después de la tribulación de aquellos días,
»“se oscurecerá el sol
y no brillará más la luna;
las estrellas caerán del cielo
y los cuerpos celestes serán sacudidos”.[b]
30 »La señal del Hijo del hombre aparecerá en el cielo, y se angustiarán todas las razas de la tierra. Verán al Hijo del hombre venir sobre las nubes del cielo con poder y gran gloria. 31 Y al sonido de la gran trompeta mandará a sus ángeles, y reunirán de los cuatro vientos a los elegidos, de un extremo al otro del cielo.
32 »Aprended de la higuera esta lección: Tan pronto como se ponen tiernas sus ramas y brotan sus hojas, sabéis que el verano está cerca. 33 Igualmente, cuando veáis todas estas cosas, sabed que el tiempo está cerca, a las puertas. 34 Os aseguro que no pasará esta generación hasta que todas estas cosas sucedan. 35 El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras jamás pasarán.

36 »Pero, en cuanto al día y la hora, nadie lo sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles en el cielo, ni el Hijo,[c] sino solo el Padre. 37 La venida del Hijo del hombre será como en tiempos de Noé. 38 Porque en los días antes del diluvio comían, bebían y se casaban y daban en casamiento, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el arca; 39 y no supieron nada de lo que sucedería hasta que llegó el diluvio y se los llevó a todos. Así será en la venida del Hijo del hombre. 40 Estarán dos hombres en el campo: uno será llevado y el otro será dejado. 41 Dos mujeres estarán moliendo: una será llevada y la otra será dejada.
42 »Por lo tanto, manteneos despiertos, porque no sabéis qué día vendrá vuestro Señor. 43 Pero entended esto: Si el dueño de casa supiera a qué hora de la noche va a llegar el ladrón, se mantendría despierto para no dejarlo forzar la entrada. 44 Por eso también vosotros debéis estar preparados, porque el Hijo del hombre vendrá cuando menos lo esperéis.
45 »¿Quién es el siervo fiel y prudente a quien su señor ha dejado encargado de los sirvientes para darles la comida a su debido tiempo? 46 Dichoso el siervo cuando su señor, al regresar, lo encuentra cumpliendo con su deber. 47 Os aseguro que lo pondrá a cargo de todos sus bienes. 48 Pero ¿qué tal si ese siervo malo se pone a pensar: “Mi señor está tardando”, 49 y luego comienza a golpear a sus compañeros, y a comer y beber con los borrachos? 50 El día en que el siervo menos lo espere y a la hora menos pensada, el señor volverá. 51 Lo castigará severamente y le impondrá la condena que reciben los hipócritas. Y habrá llanto y rechinar de dientes.

24 ਯਿਸੂ ਮੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ। 2 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੇਖਣਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਪੱਥਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਡਿੱਗੇਗਾ।”

4 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਾਵੱਧਾਨ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਧੋਖਾ ਨਾ ਖਾਣਾ। 5 ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਮਸੀਹਾ ਹਾਂ।’ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਕਰਨਗੇ। 6 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੜੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਸੁਣੋਂਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹਾਂ ਸੁਣੋਂਗੇ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਡਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਹਾਲੇ ਇਹ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ। 7 ਇੱਕ ਕੌਮ ਦੂਜੀ ਕੌਮ ਉੱਪਰ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਬਹੁਤ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੈਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਆਉਣਗੇ। 8 ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਗਰਭ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
9 “ਫ਼ਿਰ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਸਕਾਂ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੜਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋ। 10 ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਗੁਆ ਬੈਠਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਠ ਖੜੋਣਗੇ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਫ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਪਾਲ ਬੈਠਣਾਗੇ। 11 ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਨਬੀ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਰਾਹ ਪਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ। 12 ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਠੰਡਾ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। 13 ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੰਤ ਤੀਕ ਸਹੇਗਾ ਉਹੀ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। 14 ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੈਲਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਅੰਤ ਆਵੇਗਾ।

19 “ਇਹ ਵਕਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਚੁੰਘਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। 20 ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਭਾਜ ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। 21 ਕਿਉਂਕਿ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਅਜਿਹੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਵਾਪਰੇਗੀ।
22 “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਘਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
23 “ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਆਖੇ ਕਿ ਵੇਖੋ ਮਸੀਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਹੇ ਕਿ ਵੇਖੋ ਉਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ। 24 ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਝੂਠੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਨਬੀ ਉੱਠਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਚਰਜ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਾਂ ਵਿਖਾਉਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਭੁਲੇਵੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਸੱਕਣ। ਉਹ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ, ਜੇਕਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ। 25 ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
26 “ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣ ਕਿ ਮਸੀਹ ਥਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਨਾ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣਾ। ਕੋਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਹਿ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵੇਖੋ ਮਸੀਹ ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰਿਓ। 27 ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਦਿਉਂ ਚਮਕਾ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਲਹਿੰਦੇ ਤੀਕਰ ਦਿਸਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। 28 ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗਿਰਝਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਵੀ ਸਭ ਲਈ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
29 “ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਬਾਦ, ਇਹ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ:
‘ਝੱਟ ਹੀ ਸੂਰਜ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ
ਅਤੇ ਚੰਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਚਾਨਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ
ਤਾਰੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਗੇ
ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਹਿਲਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।’ [b]
30 “ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇਗਾ, ਇਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ, ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਚੀਕਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ। 31 ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੱਕ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
32 “ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਬਕ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਦ੍ਰੱਖਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਨਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਪੱਤੇ ਫ਼ੁੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗਰਮੀ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ। 33 ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਦੀਆਂ ਵੇਖੋਂਗੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ। 34 ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਇਹ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। 35 ਪੂਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਕਦੋਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ(B)
36 “ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਘੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ। ਨਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
37 “ਜਿਵੇਂ ਨੂਹ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। 38 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਲੋਕ ਖਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਪੀ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਨੂਹ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਿਆ ਸੀ। 39 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਆਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ ਤੱਕ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
“ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। 40 ਦੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। 41 ਦੋ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਚੱਕੀ ਪੀਹ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਇੱਕ ਲੈ ਲਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
42 “ਸੋ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਰਹੋ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਦਿਨ ਆਵੇਗਾ। 43 ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਚੋਰ ਕਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਤਰਕ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। 44 ਇਵੇਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਘੜੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਤ ਚੇਤਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਉਸ ਘੜੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

45 “ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਯੋਗ ਨੋਕਰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ? ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਦਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ? 46 ਜਦੋਂ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨੋਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੋਕਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। 47 ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮਾਲਕ ਉਸ ਨੋਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
48 “ਪਰ ਉਦੋਂ ਕੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੇ ਨੋਕਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਚੇ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਛੇਤੀ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ? 49 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਕੁੱਟਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਨਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਵੇਗਾ। 50 ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੋਕਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਆਸ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। 51 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮਾਲਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਪਟੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਜ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਚੀਕਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੰਦ ਕਰੀਚਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

The Temple Will Be Destroyed
24 As Jesus left the Temple and was walking away, his followers came up to show him the Temple’s buildings. 2 Jesus asked, “Do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth, not one stone will be left on another. Every stone will be thrown down to the ground.”
3 Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his followers came to be alone with him. They said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that it is time for you to come again and for this age to end?”
4 Jesus answered, “Be careful that no one fools you. 5 Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will fool many people. 6 You will hear about wars and stories of wars that are coming, but don’t be afraid. These things must happen before the end comes. 7 Nations will fight against other nations; kingdoms will fight against other kingdoms. There will be times when there is no food for people to eat, and there will be earthquakes in different places. 8 These things are like the first pains when something new is about to be born.
9 “Then people will arrest you, hand you over to be hurt, and kill you. They will hate you because you believe in me. 10 At that time, many will lose their faith, and they will turn against each other and hate each other. 11 Many false prophets will come and cause many people to believe lies. 12 There will be more and more evil in the world, so most people will stop showing their love for each other. 13 But those people who keep their faith until the end will be saved. 14 The Good News about God’s kingdom will be preached in all the world, to every nation. Then the end will come.
15 “Daniel the prophet spoke about ‘a blasphemous object that brings destruction.’[a] You will see this standing in the holy place.” (You who read this should understand what it means.) 16 “At that time, the people in Judea should run away to the mountains. 17 If people are on the roofs[b] of their houses, they must not go down to get anything out of their houses. 18 If people are in the fields, they must not go back to get their coats. 19 At that time, how terrible it will be for women who are pregnant or have nursing babies! 20 Pray that it will not be winter or a Sabbath day when these things happen and you have to run away, 21 because at that time there will be much trouble. There will be more trouble than there has ever been since the beginning of the world until now, and nothing as bad will ever happen again. 22 God has decided to make that terrible time short. Otherwise, no one would go on living. But God will make that time short to help the people he has chosen. 23 At that time, someone might say to you, ‘Look, there is the Christ!’ Or another person might say, ‘There he is!’ But don’t believe them. 24 False Christs and false prophets will come and perform great wonders and miracles. They will try to fool even the people God has chosen, if that is possible. 25 Now I have warned you about this before it happens.
26 “If people tell you, ‘The Christ is in the desert,’ don’t go there. If they say, ‘The Christ is in the inner room,’ don’t believe it. 27 When the Son of Man comes, he will be seen by everyone, like lightning flashing from the east to the west. 28 Wherever the dead body is, there the vultures will gather.
29 “Soon after the trouble of those days,
‘the sun will grow dark,
and the moon will not give its light.
The stars will fall from the sky.
And the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’ Isaiah 13:10; 34:4
30 “At that time, the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the peoples of the world will cry. They will see the Son of Man coming on clouds in the sky with great power and glory. 31 He will use a loud trumpet to send his angels all around the earth, and they will gather his chosen people from every part of the world.
32 “Learn a lesson from the fig tree: When its branches become green and soft and new leaves appear, you know summer is near. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things happening, you will know that the time is near, ready to come. 34 I tell you the truth, all these things will happen while the people of this time are still living. 35 Earth and sky will be destroyed, but the words I have said will never be destroyed.
When Will Jesus Come Again?
36 “No one knows when that day or time will be, not the angels in heaven, not even the Son.[c] Only the Father knows. 37 When the Son of Man comes, it will be like what happened during Noah’s time. 38 In those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving their children to be married, until the day Noah entered the boat. 39 They knew nothing about what was happening until the flood came and destroyed them. It will be the same when the Son of Man comes. 40 Two men will be in the field. One will be taken, and the other will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding grain with a mill.[d] One will be taken, and the other will be left.
42 “So always be ready, because you don’t know the day your Lord will come. 43 Remember this: If the owner of the house knew what time of night a thief was coming, the owner would watch and not let the thief break in. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at a time you don’t expect him.
45 “Who is the wise and loyal servant that the master trusts to give the other servants their food at the right time? 46 When the master comes and finds the servant doing his work, the servant will be blessed. 47 I tell you the truth, the master will choose that servant to take care of everything he owns. 48 But suppose that evil servant thinks to himself, ‘My master will not come back soon,’ 49 and he begins to beat the other servants and eat and get drunk with others like him? 50 The master will come when that servant is not ready and is not expecting him. 51 Then the master will cut him in pieces and send him away to be with the hypocrites, where people will cry and grind their teeth with pain.
