Trimiterea celor doisprezece apostoli
10 Apoi, Isus a chemat(A) pe cei doisprezece ucenici ai Săi şi le-a dat putere să scoată duhurile necurate şi să tămăduiască orice fel de boală şi orice fel de neputinţă. 2 Iată numele celor doisprezece apostoli:
Cel dintâi, Simon, zis(B) Petru, şi Andrei, fratele lui; Iacov, fiul lui Zebedei, şi Ioan, fratele lui; 3 Filip şi Bartolomeu; Toma şi Matei, vameşul; Iacov, fiul lui Alfeu, şi Levi, zis şi Tadeu; 4 Simon(C) Canaanitul şi Iuda Iscarioteanul(D), cel care a vândut pe Isus. 5 Aceştia sunt cei doisprezece, pe care i-a trimis Isus, după ce le-a dat învăţăturile următoare: „Să(E) nu mergeţi pe calea păgânilor şi să nu intraţi în vreo cetate a samaritenilor(F), 6 ci(G) să mergeţi mai degrabă la oile(H) pierdute ale casei lui Israel. 7 Şi(I) pe drum, propovăduiţi şi ziceţi: ‘Împărăţia(J) cerurilor este aproape!’ 8 Vindecaţi pe bolnavi, înviaţi pe morţi, curăţiţi pe leproşi, scoateţi dracii. Fără(K) plată aţi primit, fără plată să daţi. 9 Să nu(L) luaţi nici aur, nici argint, nici aramă(M) în brâurile voastre, 10 nici traistă pentru drum, nici două haine, nici încălţăminte, nici toiag, căci(N) vrednic este lucrătorul de hrana lui. 11 În(O) orice cetate sau sat veţi intra, să cercetaţi cine este acolo vrednic şi să rămâneţi la el până veţi pleca. 12 La intrarea voastră în casă, uraţi-i de bine; 13 şi(P) dacă este casa aceea vrednică, pacea voastră să vină peste ea; dar(Q), dacă nu este vrednică, pacea voastră să se întoarcă la voi. 14 Dacă(R) nu vă va primi cineva, nici nu va asculta cuvintele voastre, să ieşiţi din casa sau din cetatea aceea şi să scuturaţi(S) praful de pe picioarele voastre. 15 Adevărat vă spun că, în ziua judecăţii, va fi mai(T) uşor pentru ţinutul Sodomei şi Gomorei, decât pentru cetatea aceea.
Primirea apostolilor de lume
16 Iată(U), Eu vă trimit ca pe nişte oi în mijlocul lupilor. Fiţi dar(V) înţelepţi ca şerpii şi fără răutate(W) ca porumbeii. 17 Păziţi-vă de oameni, căci vă(X) vor da în judecata soboarelor şi vă(Y) vor bate în sinagogile lor. 18 Din pricina Mea, veţi(Z) fi duşi înaintea dregătorilor şi înaintea împăraţilor, ca să slujiţi ca mărturie înaintea lor şi înaintea neamurilor. 19 Dar(AA), când vă vor da în mâna lor, să nu vă îngrijoraţi, gândindu-vă cum sau ce veţi spune, căci ce veţi avea de spus, vă(AB) va fi dat chiar în ceasul acela; 20 fiindcă(AC) nu voi veţi vorbi, ci Duhul Tatălui vostru va vorbi în voi. 21 Fratele(AD) va da la moarte pe frate-său, şi tatăl, pe copilul lui; copiii se vor scula împotriva părinţilor lor şi-i vor omorî. 22 Veţi(AE) fi urâţi de toţi din pricina Numelui Meu, dar(AF) cine va răbda până la sfârşit va fi mântuit. 23 Când(AG) vă vor prigoni într-o cetate, să fugiţi într-alta. Adevărat vă spun că nu veţi isprăvi de străbătut cetăţile lui Israel până(AH) va veni Fiul omului. 24 Ucenicul nu(AI) este mai presus de învăţătorul său, nici robul, mai presus de domnul său. 25 Ajunge ucenicului să fie ca învăţătorul lui, şi robului să fie ca domnul lui. Dacă pe(AJ) Stăpânul casei L-au numit Beelzebul, cu cât mai mult vor numi aşa pe cei din casa lui? 26 Aşa că să nu vă temeţi de ei. Căci(AK) nu este nimic ascuns care nu va fi descoperit şi nimic tăinuit care nu va fi cunoscut. 27 Ce vă spun Eu la întuneric, voi să spuneţi la lumină; şi ce auziţi şoptindu-se la ureche, să propovăduiţi de pe acoperişul caselor. 28 Nu(AL) vă temeţi de cei ce ucid trupul, dar care nu pot ucide sufletul; ci temeţi-vă mai degrabă de Cel ce poate să piardă şi sufletul, şi trupul în gheenă. 29 Nu se vând oare două vrăbii la un ban? Totuşi niciuna din ele nu cade pe pământ fără voia Tatălui vostru. 30 Cât(AM) despre voi, până şi perii din cap, toţi vă sunt număraţi. 31 Deci să nu vă temeţi; voi sunteţi mai de preţ decât multe vrăbii. 32 De aceea(AN), pe oricine Mă va mărturisi înaintea oamenilor, îl voi mărturisi şi(AO) Eu înaintea Tatălui Meu, care este în ceruri; 33 dar(AP) de oricine se va lepăda de Mine înaintea oamenilor, Mă voi lepăda şi Eu înaintea Tatălui Meu, care este în ceruri. 34 Să nu(AQ) credeţi că am venit s-aduc pacea pe pământ; n-am venit să aduc pacea, ci sabia. 35 Căci am venit să despart pe fiu de(AR) tatăl său, pe fiică de mama sa şi pe noră de soacra sa. 36 Şi omul va avea de vrăjmaşi(AS) chiar pe cei din casa lui. 37 Cine(AT) iubeşte pe tată ori pe mamă mai mult decât pe Mine nu este vrednic de Mine şi cine iubeşte pe fiu ori pe fiică mai mult decât pe Mine nu este vrednic de Mine. 38 Cine(AU) nu-şi ia crucea lui şi nu vine după Mine nu este vrednic de Mine. 39 Cine(AV) îşi va păstra viaţa o va pierde şi cine îşi va pierde viaţa pentru Mine, o va câştiga.
Primirea ucenicilor
40 Cine(AW) vă primeşte pe voi Mă primeşte pe Mine şi cine Mă primeşte pe Mine primeşte pe Cel ce M-a trimis pe Mine. 41 Cine(AX) primeşte un proroc în numele unui proroc va primi răsplata unui proroc; şi cine primeşte pe un om neprihănit, în numele unui om neprihănit va primi răsplata unui om neprihănit. 42 Şi(AY) oricine va da de băut numai un pahar de apă rece unuia din aceşti micuţi în numele unui ucenic, adevărat vă spun că nu-şi va pierde răsplata.”

Ang Labindalawang Apostol(A)
10 Pagkatapos ay tinawag ni Jesus[a] ang kanyang labindalawang alagad, at kanyang binigyan sila ng kapangyarihan sa masasamang espiritu, upang kanilang mapalayas sila at pagalingin nila ang bawat sakit at karamdaman.
2 Ang mga pangalan ng labindalawang apostol ay ito: ang una ay si Simon na tinatawag na Pedro, si Andres na kanyang kapatid; si Santiago na anak ni Zebedeo, at si Juan na kanyang kapatid;
3 si Felipe at si Bartolome; si Tomas at si Mateo na maniningil ng buwis; si Santiago na anak ni Alfeo, at si Tadeo;
4 si Simon na Cananeo, at si Judas Iscariote, na nagkanulo sa kanya.
Isinugo ni Jesus ang Labindalawa(B)
5 Ang labindalawang ito ay isinugo ni Jesus, at inutusan na sinasabi, “Huwag kayong pupunta sa pook ng mga Hentil, at huwag kayong papasok sa alinmang bayan ng mga Samaritano;
6 kundi puntahan ninyo ang mga nawawalang tupa sa bahay ni Israel.
7 At(C) habang kayo ay humahayo, ipangaral ninyo at sabihing, ‘Malapit na ang kaharian ng langit.’
8 Pagalingin ninyo ang mga maysakit, buhayin ninyo ang mga patay, linisin ninyo ang mga ketongin, palayasin ninyo ang mga demonyo. Tinanggap ninyong walang bayad, ibigay ninyong walang bayad.
9 Huwag kayong magdala ng ginto, o pilak, o tanso sa inyong mga lalagyan ng pera;
10 o(D) supot sa inyong paglalakbay, o dalawang baro o mga sandalyas, o tungkod, sapagkat ang manggagawa ay karapat-dapat sa kanyang pagkain.
11 Sa alinmang bayan o nayon kayo makapasok, hanapin ninyo kung sino roon ang karapat-dapat; at makitira kayo sa kanya hanggang sa inyong pag-alis.
12 Pagpasok ninyo sa bahay, batiin ninyo ito.
13 At kung karapat-dapat ang sambahayan, hayaang mapunta roon ang inyong kapayapaan, ngunit kung hindi karapat-dapat, hayaang mabalik sa inyo ang inyong kapayapaan.
14 Sinumang(E) hindi tumanggap sa inyo, o duminig sa inyong mga salita, pag-alis ninyo sa bahay o bayang iyon, ay ipagpag ninyo ang alabok ng inyong mga paa.[b]
15 Katotohanang(F) sinasabi ko sa inyo, higit pang mapapagtiisan sa araw ng paghuhukom ang mga lupain ng Sodoma at Gomorra, kaysa bayang iyon.
Mga Pag-uusig na Darating(G)
16 “Ngayon,(H) sinusugo ko kayong tulad ng mga tupa sa gitna ng mga asong-gubat, kaya't maging matalino kayong gaya ng mga ahas at maamong gaya ng mga kalapati.
17 Mag-ingat(I) kayo sa mga tao, sapagkat ibibigay nila kayo sa mga hukuman at hahagupitin nila kayo sa kanilang mga sinagoga,
18 at kakaladkarin nila kayo sa harap ng mga gobernador at mga hari dahil sa akin, upang magpatotoo sa kanila at sa mga Hentil.
19 Ngunit kapag kayo ay naibigay na nila, huwag kayong mangamba kung paano kayo magsasalita o kung ano ang inyong sasabihin, sapagkat ipagkakaloob sa inyo sa oras na iyon ang inyong sasabihin;
20 sapagkat hindi kayo ang magsasalita, kundi ang Espiritu ng inyong Ama ang magsasalita sa pamamagitan ninyo.
21 Ipagkakanulo(J) ng kapatid ang kanyang kapatid tungo sa kamatayan, at ng ama ang kanyang anak at maghihimagsik ang mga anak laban sa kanilang mga magulang, at ipapapatay nila ang mga ito.
22 At(K) kapopootan kayo ng lahat dahil sa aking pangalan. Ngunit ang magtiis hanggang sa wakas ay maliligtas.
23 Kapag inuusig nila kayo sa isang bayan, tumakas kayo tungo sa kasunod, sapagkat katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo, ‘Hindi ninyo mapupuntahan lahat ang mga bayan ng Israel, bago dumating ang Anak ng Tao.’
24 “Hindi(L) nakahihigit ang alagad sa kanyang guro, o ang alipin sa kanyang panginoon.
25 Sapat(M) na sa alagad ang maging tulad ng kanyang guro at sa alipin ang maging tulad ng kanyang panginoon. Kung tinawag nilang Beelzebul ang panginoon ng sambahayan, gaano pa kaya nila lalaitin ang mga kasambahay niya!
Ang Dapat Katakutan(N)
26 “Kaya,(O) huwag ninyo silang katakutan sapagkat walang bagay na natatakpan na hindi mahahayag; at walang natatago na hindi malalaman.
27 Anumang sinasabi ko sa inyo sa dilim, sabihin ninyo sa liwanag; at ang narinig ninyo sa bulong ay ipagsigawan ninyo sa ibabaw ng mga bubungan.
28 At huwag ninyong katakutan ang mga pumapatay ng katawan, ngunit hindi nakakapatay ng kaluluwa, kundi katakutan ninyo siyang makakapuksa ng kaluluwa at ng katawan sa impiyerno.
29 Hindi ba ipinagbibili ng isang kusing ang dalawang maya? Ngunit isa man sa kanila ay hindi nahuhulog sa lupa na hindi batid ng inyong Ama.
30 At maging ang mga buhok sa inyong ulo ay bilang na lahat.
31 Huwag nga kayong matakot; kayo ay higit na mahalaga kaysa maraming maya.
Pagkilala kay Cristo(P)
32 “Kaya't ang bawat kumikilala sa akin sa harapan ng mga tao ay kikilalanin ko rin sa harapan ng aking Ama na nasa langit.
33 Ngunit(Q) sinumang magkaila sa akin sa harapan ng mga tao, ay ipagkakaila ko rin naman sa harapan ng aking Ama na nasa langit.
Hindi Kapayapaan kundi Tabak(R)
34 “Huwag ninyong isiping pumarito ako upang magdala ng kapayapaan sa lupa; hindi ako pumarito upang magdala ng kapayapaan, kundi ng tabak.
35 Sapagkat(S) pumarito ako upang paglabanin ang lalaki at ang kanyang ama, ang anak na babae at ang kanyang ina, at ang manugang na babae at ang kanyang biyenang babae.
36 At ang magiging kaaway ng tao ay ang sarili niyang mga kasambahay.
37 Ang umiibig sa ama o sa ina nang higit kaysa akin ay hindi karapat-dapat sa akin; at ang umiibig sa anak na lalaki o anak na babae nang higit kaysa akin ay hindi karapat-dapat sa akin;
38 at(T) ang hindi nagpapasan ng kanyang krus at sumusunod sa akin ay hindi karapat-dapat sa akin.
39 Ang(U) nagsisikap magligtas ng kanyang buhay ay mawawalan nito; at ang mawalan ng kanyang buhay dahil sa akin ay makakatagpo nito.
Mga Gantimpala sa Tumatanggap(V)
40 “Ang(W) tumatanggap sa inyo ay tumatanggap sa akin at ang tumatanggap sa akin ay tumatanggap sa nagsugo sa akin.
41 Ang tumatanggap sa isang propeta alang-alang sa pangalan ng propeta ay tatanggap ng gantimpala ng isang propeta; at ang tumatanggap sa isang taong matuwid alang-alang sa pangalan ng isang taong matuwid ay tatanggap ng gantimpala ng isang taong matuwid.
42 At sinumang magbigay ng kahit isang basong tubig na malamig sa isa sa maliliit na ito sa pangalan ng isang alagad, katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo, tiyak na hindi siya mawawalan ng kanyang gantimpala.”

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve(A)(B)(C)(D)(E)
10 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits(F) and to heal every disease and sickness.(G)
2 These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.(H)
5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.(I) 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.(J) 7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven(K) has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[a] drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
9 “Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts(L)— 10 no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep.(M) 11 Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave. 12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting.(N) 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.(O) 15 Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah(P) on the day of judgment(Q) than for that town.(R)
16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves.(S) Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.(T) 17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils(U) and be flogged in the synagogues.(V) 18 On my account you will be brought before governors and kings(W) as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it.(X) At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father(Y) speaking through you.
21 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents(Z) and have them put to death.(AA) 22 You will be hated by everyone because of me,(AB) but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.(AC) 23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.(AD)
24 “The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master.(AE) 25 It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul,(AF) how much more the members of his household!
26 “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.(AG) 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One(AH) who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[b] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.(AI) 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.(AJ)
32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others,(AK) I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.(AL)
34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law(AM)—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[c](AN)
37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.(AO) 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.(AP) 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.(AQ)
40 “Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me,(AR) and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.(AS) 41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. 42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”(AT)
